The "2023 Hong Kong Jockey Club Charity Training Activity for the Growth of Badminton Youth in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area" in Shenzhen recently concluded at the badminton hall of the Palm Springs Sports Center in Nanshan District, Shenzhen. More than 70 young badminton enthusiasts gathered together to participate in a two-day badminton charity training course under the leadership of the world champion.
According to the characteristics of the level of the participants, different types of course content are designed for the training activities. There are not only badminton rules explanation and physical fitness training for beginners, but also technical and tactical training and special training for basic students. The training camp was formed by Wang Siyun, a former women's doubles player of the Chinese badminton team, and the coaching team was set up, striving to enable all the young people participating in the training to get started scientifically, make efficient progress, and have substantial gains.

Sun Yu, a member of the women's singles team of the Chinese badminton team and winner of the 2014 and 2016 Uber Cup, also came to the scene to share her professional athlete experience with the youngsters and provide professional technical guidance.
According to the organizer Guangdong Badminton Association, it is hoped that through solid and effective youth badminton training activities, while enhancing the physical fitness of young people, everyone can learn and love.

Ren Jun, Chief Adviser of the Hong Kong Jockey Club's Domestic Sports Programme, said that he hopes that through the development of badminton charity activities, more young people will be exposed to badminton and fall in love with the sport.
