"Deep Space", Asia's first multi-functional immersive experience project created with 8K ultra-high-definition projection, landed in the B1 multi-purpose hall of the West Bund Museum on December 23.
After five years of preparation, hundreds of feasibility studies and analyses, and repeated content screening and creation, Deep Space Future was loaded with 8 ultra-high-definition pure laser projectors. It integrates multi-dimensional elements such as top digital technology, painting, audio-visual, exhibition and performance, history, etc., and brings together many world-class top cultural IPs in depth, inviting the audience to explore the road of human civilization in an immersive live experience.
From now until April 21, 2024, the first "Deep Space Future" exhibition season presents four major themes: "8K Extreme Selection" presents the multi-functional scene transformation possibilities of "Black Technology Magic Box", and "Space Travel", "The Last Supper" and "Vanishing City" respectively bring three completely different in-depth experiences of astronomy, art and tourism.
8K Extreme Selection brings together the most representative and visually stunning selections from the Deep Space Future content library, unleashing the charm of 3D digital artworks. The 16th-century Dutch painter Peter Bruegel's masterpiece "The Tower of Babel" is housed in the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna, and now, through "Deep Space Future", the audience can enjoy countless magnified images and appreciate every detail of the painter. The characters in the original paintings, which are smaller than fingernails, can be enlarged to life-size at the scene of "Deep Space Future", and the artistic charm and visual shock of the paintings are also magnified simultaneously.
"Deep Space Future" is a live ultra-high-definition experience of Peter Bruegel's masterpiece "Tower of Babel"."Space Travel" uses a wonderful space exploration and interstellar journey at the speed of light to reveal the mysteries of the universe, including the magic of the sun and black holes, all of which are fully restored by the black technology of "Deep Space Future".
"Deep Space Future" of "Space Travel"."The Last Supper" takes the audience back to the convent of Santa Maria in Milan, Italy at the end of the 15th century, and the large screen 8K projection allows "The Last Supper" to accurately present every square millimeter of tiny details. The artist also 3D modeled the place where the dinner took place, allowing you to step into the scene of the painting and watch the most famous dinner in the history of Western art from all angles.
"Deep Space Future" of "The Last Supper"."The Vanishing City" is an immersive digital cultural experience project produced by the Grand Palais in France, taking you on a tour of the city from all angles, experiencing the past, present and future of Venice, the water city. Visitors can walk through the thick walls of the city walls and through the Doge's Palace in Venice, where they can appreciate the beauty of the Gothic architecture and the masterpieces that house it.
"Deep Space Future" of "Disappearing City".The 8K ultra-high-definition technology used in the "Deep Space Future" is the highlight of the layout of emerging industries in China's "14th Five-Year Plan". In the multi-purpose hall of the West Bund Art Museum, 8K projection is applied to the three-dimensional space composed of walls and floors, so that the audience can be a "spectator" in the auditorium, and can even walk into the scene and be a "insider" to interact with the physical environment, virtual elements and other audiences in real time.
The scene of "Deep Space Future".According to the organizers, different from the traditional exhibition and performance experience mode, each journey in the "deep space future" has unique characteristics. Each theme is like an app, containing a rich library of information points and content materials, like a grand "game map". The "Deep Space Stationmaster" is both an actor and a guide, and during the one-hour experience of a single show, he controls the application in real time according to the interaction with the audience, and stages a wonderful "science and technology art talk show".
Deep Space Future"The first batch of visitors to the trial run said on social networks, "I really don't want to go out of this space and want to stay here all day", "It's just space camping, it's too romantic", "It turns out that this is what a time machine looks like", "It's the first time I feel the charm of a work of art and the ingenuity of a painter so deeply".
The scene of "Deep Space Future".Tian Yuan, founder of Shanghai Shenwei Culture Technology Co., Ltd., said that when planning the first season, the difficulty we faced was not the lack of content, but the fact that there were too many choices of content, so we designed "8K Extreme Selection" to show the possibilities of this space as comprehensively as possible in this way of highlights. In the future, we hope to give the choice of content to the audience, so that the audience can co-create with us. In addition, we hope to use the "Deep Space Future" as a platform to cultivate and incubate China's outstanding digital media artists, and to send China's excellent culture and artistic creations highlighting oriental aesthetics to all over the world.
