In January 1997, the higher authorities issued a quota for demobilized cadres to our brigade. The cadres in the brigade should keep their eyes on the standing committee of the party committee at once, and they should take a look at the cadre line of the new team.
The Standing Committee strictly implemented the requirements of the higher authorities and, in light of the actual conditions in the brigade, worked out specific implementation measures: First, over-age cadres should not be taken care of and their targets should be reported to the police. Second, the masses have big opinions and average performance, so try to arrange to go. The third is that there is no political performance in important positions, and they do not seek to be motivated, so they are decisive and decided. In the end, 16 main battalions and 17 deputy battalions were designated as demobilized targets and reported to the group army.
After the list of demobilized cadres was approved by the military region, all the brigade leaders came forward to find acquaintances through their connections and try every means to do a good job in the resettlement work, so that they could do their jobs as they wished and make the best use of their talents. In the face of satisfactory work, some demobilized cadres have changed from being unable to figure it out at the beginning to being in a good mood now. Many comrades said that for the sake of the brigade's construction and the all-round development of the individual, we should have left a long time ago.
Then, the whole brigade was openly evaluated, and a large number of young and promising cadres were selected and placed in important posts.
The new cadre use orientation has mobilized everyone's enthusiasm. There are many cadres in the brigade who are young and promising, and there are fewer who are old-fashioned. There are more people who want to work, and fewer people who think about personal gains and losses. There is more emphasis on unity, and less on disagreement. There is a good momentum of learning from each other and Xi making progress together at the grassroots level.
