Lithuania is a small country located in the northeast of Europe, it was once our partner in the Belt and Road Initiative, enjoying friendly relations and economic benefits with China. However, in recent years, Lithuania has continued to do things that violate the principle of neutrality and China's sovereignty and interests, such as colluding with the United States on the Taiwan issue and setting up a so-called "Taipei Representative Office". These actions are undoubtedly "eating Chinese food and smashing China's pot", making the Chinese people feel angry and disappointed. As a result, China** has taken a series of measures, including canceling cooperation projects with Lithuania, restricting Lithuanian goods from entering the Chinese market, and withdrawing Chinese investments and enterprises. These measures dealt a huge blow to the Lithuanian economy and put Lithuania in a difficult position.
After realizing its mistakes, Lithuania has repeatedly made overtures to China, hoping that China will forgive and resume cooperation. China** has also shown some goodwill, such as removing Lithuania from the "system blacklist" and allowing Lithuanian goods to enter China again. However, Lithuania did not cherish this opportunity, but made another stupid decision, that is, to include China in the list of "unfriendly countries", along with Russia and Belarus, and regarded China as a threat to Lithuania. This decision will take effect in January next year, according to the Russian satellite network.
This decision shocked and puzzled the Chinese people, why did Lithuania do this?Don't Lithuania know that China is a peaceful country and has never caused any harm to Lithuania?Doesn't Lithuania know that China is a powerful country with sufficient strength and means to safeguard its own interests and dignity?Doesn't Lithuania know that China is a country with credit, and once it has made a promise, it will resolutely fulfill it?This decision of Lithuania is undoubtedly a provocation and challenge to China, a declaration of war and the severance of relations with China. China expressed strong dissatisfaction with this and demanded that Lithuania immediately retract this erroneous decision and handle the issue of cooperation with China in accordance with the rules of the WTO, otherwise, China will have to take more severe countermeasures and make Lithuania pay a greater price.
This decision of Lithuania not only harms China's interests, but also harms Lithuania's own interests. It is understood that since Lithuania included China in the list of "unfriendly countries", Lithuania's exports to China have plummeted by 70%, and Chinese enterprises and capital have also withdrawn from Lithuania, which has had a serious impact on Lithuania's economy. Moreover, Lithuania's decision has also made other countries and enterprises that originally intended to invest and develop in Lithuania retreat, and they dare not cooperate with Lithuania, fearing that Lithuania will change their minds and betray at any time. This makes us wonder if Lithuania was coerced or bought by a certain country to make such a decision that would do it no good, only harm.
We believe that Lithuania's decision is motivated by blind following and worship of the United States, to cater to the interests and will of the United States, and to gain the support and protection of the United States. However, Lithuania forgets that the United States is a capitalist country, it only cares about its own interests, it does not care about Lithuania's, it will only use Lithuania, it will not help Lithuania, it will only use Lithuania as a pawn, it will not treat Lithuania as a friend. Just like India, the United States has helped India not because of how loyal India is to the United States, but because India has some value to the United States and can be used as a tool for the United States to contain China. If India loses this value, the United States will not hesitate to abandon India. As a small country, if Lithuania wants to survive and develop in this complex world, it should first strengthen itself instead of relying on others, it should abide by international law and rules instead of violating principles, and it should establish friendly and peaceful relations with China and other countries, instead of creating a situation of hostility and conflict.
We hope that Lithuania will have a clear understanding of the situation, correct its mistakes, and work with China and other countries to maintain world peace and stability.
