Suddenly!Gaza has been hit by Israeli airstrikes, which have killed and injured many people

On 2 December, at least 100 people were killed in an Israeli airstrike on the Jabaliya refugee camp in northern Gaza. With the sound of ** and the light of fire, this refugee camp was instantly turned into a ruin, and many people were buried under the rubble, waiting for rescue. However, the progress of the rescue work has been slow due to traffic obstructions and difficulties in emergency rescue.

Heartbreaking scenes emerge from the social scene, in which mothers hug crying children, some covered in blood, while others have closed their eyes forever. This is not just a war, it is a humanitarian catastrophe, especially for innocent children. The world seems to be numb to these figures, and the suffering of the Palestinians is gradually being diluted into unattended news.

Since 7 October, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has resulted in the deaths of more than 1,200 people in Israel, including a large number of civilians. In the Gaza Strip, more than 15,000 people have been killed, 70 per cent of them women and children. UN Secretary-General António Guterres said with grief that Gaza has become a grave for children.

Despite global calls for a ceasefire, the previous ceasefire was short-lived, followed by renewed Israeli bombardment and continued rocket fire by Hamas, leading to another escalation of killings. The loss of Taye, a prominent scientist and rector of the Islamic University of Gaza, has deepened the contradictions in the entire region.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that they will continue the war until all goals are achieved. To achieve this, in addition to the air strikes, Netanyahu demanded that the residents of the city of Khan Younis be evacuated immediately, calling it a dangerous area of fighting. The move sparked more tensions and pushed innocent residents into even more dangerous situations.

Negotiations stalled, and Netanyahu ordered the Mossad negotiating team to withdraw from Doha, while carrying out airstrikes on Lebanon and Syria, further escalating the regional instability. Hamas, for its part, has vowed that there will be no more prisoner swap agreements until the ceasefire in Gaza and the end of Israeli aggression.

There is a serious controversy in the international community about whether Israel is capable of destroying Hamas. France's Macron has warned that Israel must be clear about its goals, stressing that the right to self-defense cannot be used as a pretext to attack civilians. However, Spain, Ireland and other European countries have quarreled fiercely with Israel, and even recalled each other's ambassadors, showing the international community's division over the conflict.

Despite pressure from the international community, the United States remains steadfast in its support for Israel and has always vetoed Security Council ceasefire resolutions. This divide has deepened the global sense of frustration with the war.

The fighting can last for weeks, months, or even years. What is certain, however, is that many Palestinians will unfortunately leave this world. This is reality, harsh reality. The international community is facing shame, it is an unjust world, and we can only feel endless sorrow.

Finally, what should we make about this war? While the road to peace is far away, the reality that is currently full of blood is difficult to accept. For the more than 2 million Palestinians in Gaza, they will not be able to enjoy the warm spring season, their homes will be destroyed again and again, and there will be no end to sorrow. It is a disgrace to the international community, a world full of injustices, and it is impossible to accept this unfortunate reality. Perhaps the only hope is that a true path to peace will be found in the future.

The pursuit of peace and the promotion of development have always been the good aspirations of human society, and only peace and development can usher in a more brilliant tomorrow.
