After further identifying the risk of brake engine failure when the spacecraft returned to Earth, the team developed real-time engine diagnosis and automatic switching technology, adding backup engines and automatic switching of the main backup engine. Then, they further developed a new scheme that uses eight engines for attitude control to brake together in the extreme case that the main and backup brake engines fail at the same time.
How can the spacecraft be saved if it loses its baseline attitude due to a momentary failure in space?The GNC development team has applied the "satellite full attitude acquisition technology" used in the retrievable satellite to the spacecraft, and then successfully developed a new "sun-earth" full attitude acquisition technology, which can quickly and accurately reconstruct the normal operation attitude of the spacecraft.
Even for the most unlikely event, the GNC development team has made a disposal plan in advance: what if the automatic control system fails?In order to ensure the safety of astronauts, they have successfully developed China's first astronaut manual control system, once a problem occurs, astronauts can use semi-automatic and purely manual working modes to control the spacecraft engine and spacecraft attitude, so that the spacecraft can return safely.
