The Pingtuo Luozi drama "Lotus Flower" is a 2023 Hebei Provincial Stage Art Boutique Project funded project, written by the city's playwright Wang Zhisheng and directed by Li Juping, the former head of the Shexian Pingtuo Luozi Troupe. "Pingtuo" and "Luozi" are two local operas that originated in Wu'an City, Hebei Province, and have a history of more than 400 years. It is the only local opera in the country where two types of opera are in the same troupe, and it is known as the "and Dilian" of the Chinese pear orchard.
