Reading is a beautiful thing.

Our cover reads: Minimalism, making room for happiness – the expectation of a happy and beautiful life.

There is one sentence in the book that struck me very much, and he also runs through the core of the book: the ultimate purpose of life is to achieve happiness.

Many people think that minimalism is to give up, to throw away a lot of things, to make the home empty, but in fact, no matter which way we choose, what we ultimately lead to is the beautiful expectation of wanting to live a happy life, we want to let everything around us be within a range of our control, and not overindulge our desires, resulting in unnecessary waste and redundancy.

I myself have a lot of attachment and dependence on material, in my experience of studying abroad since I was a child, material has given me a lot of comfort and companionship, so I like the feeling of being surrounded by things I like, I can't do it anymore, and it may even be maximalist, because of the good feeling that material brings me, when I see an object I like very much, my happiness and satisfaction, when I savor the shape, texture, and so on of this object, it seems to have been integrated into my life.

Therefore, I have bought a lot of beautiful utensils, if from the perspective of "use", some of them are indeed offered by me, and they are not integrated into life, but because of the "joy of seeing", I will continue to start.

Reading this book, in some ways, comforted me very much:

A person is able to live a richer and better life while having less material things.

We have to have something small and appropriate.

Minimalism does not mean want, but rather a pleasure, teaching one to get rid of the superfluous and the unnecessary, and to sift through what is necessary. It allows us to focus on those things that bring joy, value, and purpose to life, thus giving us maximum satisfaction.

Say goodbye to those people or things that make you tired and tired, go after your hobbies, don't need to live with so much trepidation, we can completely define the life I want to live by ourselves.

The key to minimalism is to re-evaluate the priorities in life in order to weed out what is not necessary (superfluous) that does not give meaning to life—objects, ideas, behaviors, habits, relationships, activities—and then refocuses on what brings meaning.

The definition and practice of minimalism is personal, individualized, and does not require the application of any particular pattern of life, it has the following characteristics:

Keep only what adds joy, value, purpose, and freedom to life. This includes material (e.g., clothes, documents) and immaterial things (e.g., negative relationships, worries and stress, as well as unproductive habits and unimportant commitments).

Pay attention to those things that are separated from life, and don't be annoyed by what you had when you were alive. Living minimalist is meant to be enjoyable without feeling deprived.

Be more concerned and sensitive to the people, things, and situations around you, and be more conscious, more proactive, and more enthusiastic about life.

On a personal level, the original meaning of minimalism can be perfectly sketched in the Swedish word lagom, which means: sufficient, sufficient, moderate, just right, and the word can likewise be translated as moderate, balanced, completely simple and fit. There is no lack due to insufficiency, or excess due to excessive consumption.

Minimalism is like pouring tea into a cup, too little tea will not quench your thirst, too much tea will overflow the cup, and it will take extra time and labor to clean up.

Just reading this sentence, I feel relaxed and life can be expected!
