Looking back on those days in 2023 On October 1, 2023, a few friends and I met up to visit the Great Wall, a famous world cultural heritage site in my country. This is our first time visiting the Great Wall, and we are full of excitement and anticipation.
In the morning, the sun was shining and the autumn breeze was cool, and we set off happily from downtown Beijing to the Great Wall. Along the way, the trees on both sides of the road are lush and green, and the golden leaves glisten in the sun, as if to see us off. In less than two hours, we arrived at our destination.
We chose the Badaling Great Wall, which is the essence of the Great Wall, with a long history and good preservation. Standing on the Great Wall, we can overlook the mountains in the distance and the greenery at our feet, and we can't help but feel happy.
We climbed all the way up the steps of the Great Wall and felt the weight of history. Along the way, we also met many tourists from all over the world, who took photos to record this precious moment. On the Great Wall, we also saw many ancient cultural relics, such as enemy towers, beacon towers, etc., which gave us a deeper understanding of ancient warfare.
When we climbed to the commanding heights of the Great Wall, we couldn't help but sigh: The Great Wall is so great!This great project not only demonstrates the crystallization of the wisdom and strength of the ancient people of our country, but also is a symbol of the Chinese nation's indomitable and unremitting self-improvement. Standing on the Great Wall, we are proud to be Chinese.
During our visit to the Great Wall, we also tasted local specialties - Great Wall smoked pork and tofu. These delicacies allow us to feel the charm of regional culture while playing.
In the afternoon, we left the Great Wall with a full harvest. On the way home, we are still reminiscing about the trip. The magnificent scenery and long history of the Great Wall make us feel the greatness of the Chinese nation, and also make us more firm in our belief in inheriting and carrying forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture.
