There must be a premise for answering this question, and that is what is the standard by which justice is measured.
Two days ago, I saw someone give such a definition, saying that wherever people run, the degree of civilization is high, and where the degree of civilization is high, the righteousness of the place is higher than that of ignorance.
At first glance, this logic makes sense, and there are many examples. For example, why do refugees from Africa and the Middle East always run to Europe, some people in South America and us here have to run to the United States, and Palestinians have to go to Israel to work after being checked several times for identification. If you go to a high place, this is voting with your feet.
And our ancestor Guan Zhong also said in "Guanzi", "Cang Liao is solid, and he knows etiquette;."If you have enough food and clothing, you will know honor and disgrace." "Knowing etiquette" and "knowing honor and disgrace" is not only the standard of civilization, but also the basic requirement of justice.
Looking at it this way, the logic that was said at the beginning seems to be self-consistent, and places with a high level of economic development often occupy the commanding heights of justice.
But this premise is actually problematic. First of all, what exactly is civilization? There is no accurate explanation for this, which is accepted by most people, and it can only be said in general terms: civilization is actually an aggressive way of life, a scientific and efficient mode of production.
If we have to put it more simply, civilization is the sum total of behavioral norms and material bases that can free people from the state of life and behavior of a barbaric society.
This still seems to be difficult to understand, so look at what the opposite of barbarism of civilization means.
The so-called barbarism, its typical way of life is the behavior that violates various life ethics, and the specific individual is criminals, ** madmen, all kinds of gangsters in society, and so on. Its behavior is to forcibly obtain personal needs by breaking the established ethical norms and enforcing bandit logic.
Judging from the characteristics of civilization and barbarism, the biggest difference between the two is that civilization is more inclined to be its own, even if it involves others, it only exerts influence on them, and realizes mutual exchange and cooperation through education. Barbarism always positions itself as a conqueror, maximizing its own interests by forcibly changing the way of life and production of others.
Applying this characteristic of civilization and barbarism to Palestine and Israel, Israel is indeed the one who is "well-fed" and "well-fed", but has they detached themselves from the state of life and behavior of the barbaric society?Apparently not, otherwise how can we explain the large number of deaths and injuries of Palestinian women and children caused by bombs dropped on Palestinian hospitals. That is to say, living a prosperous life does not mean that there must be an awareness of "knowing etiquette" and "knowing honor and disgrace", otherwise how to explain the phrase "being rich and unkind".
Judging from the various acts of Israel since its founding, it is certainly unjust for the Palestinians to achieve the goal of expanding their living space by forcibly changing the way of life and production of the Palestinians, occupying Palestinian land by brutal means, and seizing the fruits of Palestinian labor.
Looking at Palestine, in terms of its way of life and mode of production, it seems to be ignorant and backward, and it seems that it has nothing to do with civilization. However, this is to look at them from the perspective of physical and material desires, that is to say, the perspective of the spiritual desires that civilization should have. Poverty itself is the original sin!
There are many reasons for the poverty of a person, a nation, or a country, such as historical, geographical, cultural, traditional, etc., but wealth and poverty are not the standard for measuring civilization, otherwise ancient civilization cannot be called civilization, only modern civilization is civilization. Killing people with a stone machete is uncivilized, and killing people without seeing blood in biochemical ** or nuclear ** is civilized, this logic obviously does not make sense.
Palestine has the right to secure its own living space, and if they lose all of this right, they will forever lose the possibility of embracing the so-called modern civilization, so from this point of view, Palestine is the party of justice, at least for now.
