There are two commonly used dust removal methods in industrial boilers: dry and wet.

The most commonly used dry dust removal equipment for industrial boilers is cyclone dust collectors. Its simple structure, large amount of flue gas treatment, no moving parts, low cost, convenient maintenance and management, dust removal efficiency can generally reach about 85%, is the most widely used dust removal equipment in industrial boiler flue gas purification.

Wet dust removal is to use a water film to stick or adsorb the ash particles in the flue gas, or use spray water to make the ash particles condense and clean down with water. Commonly used are granite water film dust collector and cyclone water film dust collector.

The granite water film dust collector is made of natural granite masonry, so it is acid-resistant, anti-corrosion, wear-resistant, and has a long service life, and the dust removal efficiency of the granite water film dust collector can reach more than 98%.

Cyclone water film dust collector, suitable for handling large flue gas volume and high dust concentration, it can be used alone or installed after the venturi scrubber as a dehydrator.

When selecting dust removal equipment, according to the relevant standards and regulations, the smoke and dust concentration at the outlet of the boiler with different combustion modes under the rated evaporation capacity, the adaptability of the dust collector to the load, etc., after technical and economic comparison, the dust collector with high efficiency, low resistance, low equipment investment and low operating cost should be selected.

Cyclone dust collectors are mostly used in heating boiler rooms. For layer furnace boilers such as reciprocating grates and chain grates, single-stage cyclone dust collectors are generally used. For chamber-fired furnace boilers such as coal throwing machine furnaces, pulverized coal furnaces, and boiling furnaces, secondary dust removal is generally used. When the dry cyclone dust removal cannot meet the smoke and dust emission standards, wet dust removal can be used. When wet dust removal is adopted, the wastewater should be discharged up to the standard after treatment, and thermal insulation and anti-freezing measures should also be considered in cold areas.
