Why is it said that there is nothing outside the heart, and the state changes with the heart, and the mind is no longer trapped? This is because we are often swayed by external circumstances, and our hearts will fluctuate in response to external stimuli, leading to mood swings and annoyance.
When we see something, we tend to have desires and attachments, and this is the generation of realms. Our minds are influenced by external stimuli, triggering delusions and eventually forming strong attachments. Often, we find it difficult to resist the outside world, which creates many problems in life because we are too focused on external changes. In order to realize that the mind does not follow the environment, we must first understand the relationship between the state and the mind. We need to be aware of our feelings, our greed, our hatred, and so on. Through meditation, we can observe the mind leaping through the different senses, rapidly generating and disappearing. But understanding alone is not enough to change our behavior. Without practical Xi, cognition will not have a real impact. Learning Xi requires patience, cannot be rushed, and must follow a seemingly long and inefficient path.
The only way to be truly liberated and enlightened is to "forget yourself". We often think we're awake, but in reality we are unconscious most of the time, driven by the laws of desire. We block out the light of reality, but we don't know it. The state of mind that requires continuous cultivation is a powerful ability to control oneself. Through awareness and practice, we can see through desires and eventually let go of attachments. This is the path to inner peace and invincibility in the outside world.
