Permeable concrete floor construction technology maintenance .

The role of permeable concrete flooring in the construction of sponge cities is becoming more and more obvious, from urban green spaces, to community parks, from sidewalks to municipal squares.

However, with that comes the problem of the maintenance of permeable concrete floors in daily use.

Permeable concrete flooring has the characteristics of porosity, which is the main key to its permeability. However, it is also because of the porosity that it will be very difficult in daily maintenance.

First of all, the main thing is that it is easy to be clogged by dirt. The soil in the green belt on both sides of the road will be washed to the road surface in heavy rain due to the topography, and the voids of the permeable concrete floor will be blocked by this soil, thus affecting the permeability. In this case, the maintenance unit should use a high-pressure water gun to flush the blocked area. This can alleviate the problem of the permeable concrete floor being completely blocked, but the most fundamental solution is to set up drainage ditches on both sides of the road surface, or raise the road elevation appropriately to avoid rainwater accumulation on the road surface.

The second is the problem of moss growing in the voids of permeable concrete floors. During the use of roads, moss will grow between the gaps in the floor, especially in the south where the rain is more abundant. After the moss grows, in addition to affecting the appearance, it will also bring safety hazards. In this way, it is necessary for the maintenance unit to use oxalic acid to clean the pavement regularly in daily maintenance, which can well avoid the growth of moss, and also clean up the oil stains on the surface of the floor.

Finally, there is the problem of aging pavement. Outdoor floors are exposed to wind and sun for a long time, and the aging is particularly serious, and the same is true for permeable concrete floors, especially ordinary permeable concrete floors, which I raised in my previous article. The curing unit can spray the floor pavement with sealant after oxalic acid cleaning.
