Artist Profile

Wei Yupeng,Born in 1985 in Nandao, Guangxi, Miao nationality. Graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Nanchang University.

At present, he is a master's tutor, one of the four talents in Jiangxi Province, a leading talent in Hongcheng culture, and a high-level talent in Nanchang City. President of 80 Oil Painting Society, member of China Artists Association, member of China Oil Painting Society, Secretary-General of Oil Painting Art Committee of Jiangxi Artists Association, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of Nanchang Artists Association, and invited creator of China Freehand Oil Painting Research Institute.

In 2011, he founded the famous national oil painting art organization "80 Oil Painting Society". The art group is composed of the most representative post-80s oil painters in China, and nearly 400 works of its members have been selected and awarded in exhibitions and competitions sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China, the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and the China Artists Association, and their works have been collected by more than 30 important art museums or art institutions at home and abroad such as the National Art Museum. The 80 Oil Painting Society has been recognized and affirmed by the industry and all walks of life, and now the Society has become the backbone of the Chinese oil painting industry.

Wei Yupeng himself has been engaged in oil painting art creation for many years, mainly studying the city series, the dock series, the evening ** series, the horse culture series and landscape oil paintings, etc., each series of works have a unique style and obvious artistic appearance, creating the "Webster" oil painting style.

His works have been selected and awarded more than 60 awards in exhibitions and competitions sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China, the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and the China Artists Association, including the "13th National Art Exhibition Winning the Beijing Exhibition Award", "Special Exhibition of Fine Works from the Collection of the National Art Museum of China", "Invitational Exhibition of Chinese Oil Painting Masters", "Top Ten Outstanding Works Award of China Youth Oil Painting Exhibition", "Excellence Award of China Oil Painting Landscape Exhibition", "Beijing International Art Biennale", "Shenzhen International Oil Painting Biennale" On behalf of Chinese oil painters, he went to the Grand Palais in France to participate in the exhibition, and all the exhibited works were collected by France.
