Mondo Home Updated on 2024-01-19

Water pipe union is a convenient and flexible way to connect water pipes, and its installation method is as follows:

1. Prepare tools and materials.

Water pipe unions (including stubs, washers, and nuts).

Water pipe cutter.

Water pipe wrench. Wrench.

Screwdriver. Waterproof tape or hot melt adhesive.

Cleaning cloth or paper towel (for cleaning the interface).

2. Check the water pipes.

Inspect the surface of the water pipe for damage or cracks to ensure that the water pipe is intact.

Check that the size and specification of the water pipe match the union joint.

3. Cut the water pipe.

Use a water pipe cutter to cut both water pipes flat, making sure the incision is ** stabbed.

Clean the surface of the cut hose to ensure it is free of dust, dirt and water stains.

Fourth, install the union joint.

Install a spool on one of the pipes, making sure that the end face of the spool is flush with the end face of the pipe.

Install the gasket on the spool, making sure the gasket is placed flat on the spool.

Install the nut on the other water pipe, making sure that the end face of the nut is flush with the end face of the water pipe.

Dock the nut and spool on the two water pipes to ensure that the gap between the nut and the spool is even.

Tighten the nut with a wrench to make sure the connection is secure.

Wrap waterproof tape or hot melt adhesive around the joints to prevent water leakage.

Tighten the nut again with a wrench, making sure the connection is tight.

Wipe the joints with a cleaning cloth or paper towel to make sure there is no residue.

5. Test the connection of water pipes.

Turn on the water source and check the water pipe connections for leaks.

If there is a leak, turn off the water source and recheck the connection between the nut and the spool to ensure that the gap is even. Wrap the waterproof tape or hot melt adhesive again and tighten the nut. If there is still a water leak, replace the gasket or stub.

If there is no water leakage, proceed to the next step.

6. Fix the water pipe joint.

Use a screwdriver to tighten the set screws of the union to make sure the connection is secure.

Apply the appropriate amount of lubricant to the joints to facilitate the next disassembly and maintenance.

Hold the water pipes in place and make sure that the connections are not affected by external forces.

Double-check that the connection is secure and that the water pipe is not affected by external forces.

Test the function of the water pipes to ensure a smooth and leak-free water flow.

Clean up the site to ensure there is no residue.

7. Precautions.

Be sure to turn off the water source before installing the water pipe union.

Use union and fittings that match the size and size of the water pipe.

Please follow the instructions or guidelines for installation and maintenance. If you're not sure how to do this, consult a professional or the manufacturer's customer service representative.
