In the early morning of December 14, the final round of Group F of the Champions League group stage started at the same time.

AC Milan beat Newcastle 2-1 away from home, while Borussia Dortmund drew 1-1 at home to Paris Saint-Germain.

Borussia Dort and Paris managed to progress to the round of 16, while Newcastle and Milan were eliminated.

Group F of this season's Champions League is considered a group of death, with no team qualifying or being eliminated at the end of the first four rounds.

It wasn't until the fifth round that Dort took the lead and successfully broke through and became the judge of the fate of the three teams, allowing Paris, Newcastle and AC Milan to compete for the last place to qualify.

In the match between AC Milan and Newcastle, Milan, as the seven-time champion of the Champions League, did not perform as well as expected, accumulating only 5 points in 5 rounds, falling to the bottom of the group and on the verge of elimination.

Playing away, Milan faced a huge onslaught from Newcastle's attacking group.

Newcastle's Joelinton broke the deadlock in the 33rd minute to give them a 1-0 lead, while Milan levelled the scores at 1-1 thanks to Christian Pulisic's strike in the second half.

In the end, Milan came back from a goal from Chukwueze in the 84th minute to win 2-1.

Paris Saint-Germain finished second in the group with seven points after drawing with Newcastle in the last round against Borussia Dortmund and only needed to win in the final round to seal the qualification.

Qualification. Playing away from home, Paris tried to take the lead after the opening kick-off, constantly putting pressure on Dort's defence and creating a number of good scoring chances.

However, they failed to capitalise on those chances, including a one-on-one shot from Mbappe and a shot from Balcola that bounced off the post.

Paris missed three great chances in less than 30 minutes, which was a sad sigh.

Meanwhile, despite Dort's overall attacking threat being less than Paris', neither side was able to break the deadlock in the first half.

At half-time, the real-time standings showed that Dort had 11 points, Newcastle had 8 points, Paris had 8 points, Milan had 5 points, and Newcastle and Dort had joined forces to qualify.

At the start of the second half, Paris conceded the first goal.

In the 51st minute, Achraf and Marquinhos made a mistake at the back, which led to Phil Kruger setting up Adeyemi to score a goal to give Dort a 1-0 lead.

Faced with this dilemma, Paris quickly equalised: Unai Emery's shot was deflected off Adeyemi.

However, in the 76th minute, Achraf sent a through ball and Mbappe scored, but unfortunately it was ruled offside and the goal was disallowed.

In the end, Borussia Dort's match with Paris ended in a 1-1 draw, while Newcastle lost 2-1 to Milan.

As a result, the final standings of the group are as follows: Dort is 11 points to secure the top spot, while Paris and Milan are tied with 8 points, but Paris is ahead of Milan in the best position by virtue of the win-loss relationship.

The second qualified, while Milan and Newcastle went out together.
