Youzhou is the northern part of the present-day Beijing Municipality, Tianjin Municipality, Baoding City, Hebei Province, and the northern part of Langfang, Zhangjiakou and Cangzhou Cities. Youzhou is the name of the state in ancient China, located in the northern part of today's Hebei, Beijing, Tianjin and other places, and is one of the 13 states under the jurisdiction of the Department of Thorn History during the Han Dynasty. During the Warring States period, the Yan Kingdom ruled here, and during the Qin Dynasty, Yan County was set up. During the Western Han Dynasty, Liu Bang, the ancestor of the Han Dynasty, set up the Yan State, which was governed in Jixian County. During the Eastern Han Dynasty, it was changed to Youzhou, and because Youzhou was located within the Great Wall, not a frontier, it was changed to Youzhou. During the Sui Dynasty, Emperor Yang Guang of the Sui Dynasty divided the country into 10 counties, including Youzhou. During the Tang Dynasty, Youzhou became the seat of Hebei Province. By the time of the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms, Youzhou became a place where feudal towns were divided. During the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang divided the country into 13 provinces, including Beiping Province, and Youzhou belonged to Beiping Province. During the Qing Dynasty, the provincial system of the Ming Dynasty was followed, and Beiping Province still existed, while Youzhou belonged to Zhili Province.

In modern times, the Youzhou area is no longer the name of an administrative region. However, in history, the Youzhou region was once one of China's political, cultural and economic centers, and has a very important status and significance. In particular, Beijing, as the capital of China, has a long history and cultural heritage.

To sum up, Youzhou is the northern part of the current Beijing Municipality, Tianjin Municipality, Baoding City, Hebei Province, and Langfang City, Zhangjiakou City, and Cangzhou City. Although it is no longer the name of an administrative region, the Youzhou region has an important place and significance in Chinese history.
