Youzhou is the northern part of the present-day Beijing Municipality, Tianjin Municipality, Baoding City, Hebei Province, and the northern part of Langfang, Zhangjiakou and Cangzhou Cities. Youzhou is the name of the state in ancient China, located in the northern part of today's Hebei, Beijing, Tianjin and other places, and is one of the 13 states under the jurisdiction of the Department of Thorn History during the Han Dynasty. During the Qing Dynasty, the provincial system of the Ming Dynasty was followed, and Beiping Province still existed, while Youzhou belonged to Zhili Province.
In modern times, the Youzhou area is no longer the name of an administrative region.
