The 20 unlucky things that I found out when I went to Myanmar with the group are too cheating
1.The tour guide is a big fool.
Our tour guide was a middle-aged man with excellent eloquence, but what he said made people laugh and cry. He told us how the gemstones in Myanmar were cheap and let us buy them. However, it was later discovered that these gems were not produced in Myanmar but were imported from other countries. The tour guide also lied to us that the locals only eat local rice, but we found out that the locals eat rice imported from China.
2.The food was so bad.
Myanmar's food culture is a real eye-opener, but it's so "special". For example, grilled fish is topped with spices such as coriander, lemongrass, lemongrass, etc., which may be delicious to the locals, but for us, they are simply "poison". Moreover, the sanitary conditions in Myanmar are not ideal, and insects are often seen on food.
3.It's too basic.
The hotel we stayed in was very basic, the facilities in the rooms were old, and the sanitary conditions were not good. There was also a musty smell on the bed, which made it impossible to sleep. What's even more infuriating is that the hotel's hot water** is very unstable, and the water and electricity are often cut off.
4.Transportation is too underdeveloped.
Traffic in Myanmar is very underdeveloped, the roads are in poor condition, and traffic jams are common. Local taxis are also very unregulated, often refusing to take or charging indiscriminately. In addition, Myanmar's public transport system is inadequate, and it is sometimes difficult to find a suitable taxi or bus.
5.The attraction is too commercial.
The attractions in Myanmar are very commercial, full of hawkers and salesmen. And many attractions require a long queue to enter, which is a waste of time. For example, Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon has a long queue to enter, and it is so crowded that it is difficult to find a quiet place.
6.The locals are too lazy.
The locals in Myanmar are very lazy and very unserious about their work. For example, when eating in a restaurant, the waiter often forgets to serve the food or serves the wrong dish. When visiting the scenic spots, it is not uncommon for vendors or salesmen to come around to sell their goods. These behaviors are very uncomfortable.
7.There is a language communication barrier.
The official languages of Myanmar are Burmese and English, but the English proficiency of the locals is generally not high. We often encounter language barriers during our travels, and sometimes it is difficult to communicate with the locals. And the locals also have a strong accent, which can sometimes be difficult to understand what they are saying.
8.There are great differences in religion and culture.
Myanmar is a Buddhist country with a very strong religious culture. We also often encounter some religious ceremonies or activities during our travels, but these activities may not be familiar or understood by us. For example, we couldn't wear shorts or shoulder-baring clothes in the temple.
9.Prices are too high.
Prices in Myanmar are very high, especially food and accommodation**. For example, a meal at an average restaurant in Yangon can cost a few hundred RMB. Moreover, the income level of the local people is not high, and many people have a very difficult life. 10.The security in Myanmar is not very good, especially at night or in densely populated places. We also often hear some reminders and advice about security issues during our travels. For example: don't go out alone, don't carry a lot of cash with you, etc.
