Nickel 201 (N02201) pure nickel alloy is a pure nickel alloy composed of trace elements such as manganese, copper and nickel, which has good mechanical properties and excellent resistance in many corrosive environments. Other useful properties of the alloy include its magnetic properties, magnetostrictive properties, high thermal and electrical conductivity, low gas content and low evaporation pressure. The corrosion resistance of nickel 201 makes it particularly useful in applications such as food, man-made fibers and caustic soda where product purity is required. It is also widely used in structural applications where corrosion resistance is a major consideration. Other uses include chemical drums, electrical and electronic components, aerospace and missile components.

Nickel 201 (N02201) pure nickel alloy is a solid solution alloy with a face-centered cubic structure, which usually exhibits a small amount of non-metallic inclusions in the microstructure, which are mainly oxides and do not change with annealing. Typically used above °F (315°C), nickel 201 is more commonly used. Nickel-200 and Nickel-201 are ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Approved Construction Materials**. Nickel 200 is approved for use up to 600°F (315°C) and Nickel 201 is approved for service up to 1250°F (677°C).
