This year marks the 100th anniversary of the construction of Zhongshan Road in Quanzhou. Zhongshan Road is an extremely important construction project in Quanzhou in the 20s of the 20th century, and it is also a major achievement in the construction of modern and modern cities in Quanzhou. Yesterday, the reporter contacted Huang Yuekun, the assistant officer of Lixiang and the manager of Quanzhou Mansion, who and the illustrator A Zhong designed the image logo logo for Zhongshan Road, which is based on green, integrating elements such as bell tower, arcade building, swallowtail ridge of ancient house in southern Fujian, and thorn tung flower, showing the profound historical charm of Zhongshan Road and highlighting the cultural strength of the city.
Zhongshan Road image logo logo
Love Quanzhou culture and draw a sketch in one day.
Talking about the process of creating the image logo of Zhongshan Road, Huang Yuekun took out the tablet he carried with him and found some sketches created at that time. "At the beginning, we were commissioned by Licheng District to design the image logo for Zhongshan Road, and the text below the graphic was determined in advance - '100 years of Zhongshan Road, 1000 years of Thorn Tong City', when we saw these 10 words, Ah Zhong and I immediately started a heated discussion, and soon decided on the southern Fujian cultural elements that we wanted to choose. He pointed to the image logo outlined by the sketch lines and said that the bell tower is a landmark building on Zhongshan Road, and it is very similar to the standing "1", so the first element of the bell tower was determined, followed by the most characteristic arcade building and the swallowtail ridge of the ancient house in southern Fujian.
Once we had identified a few of the main design elements, it took us a day to sketch the design. Huang Yuekun told reporters, after the later refinement and thinking, finally determined the green as the background color of the Zhongshan Road image logo logo, "people and the city is feelings, I am Quanzhou people, A Zhong is a Fuzhou people, out of love for Quanzhou culture, 5 years ago he came to Quanzhou to work and live, these years can not count how many times, I and he walked through Zhongshan Road, feeling its prosperity and heaviness, when it is necessary to design the image logo for it, we quickly appeared in our minds the corresponding picture and creativity." ”

In Huang Yuekun's eyes, Zhongshan Road is like a brilliant pearl necklace, stringing together important cultural relics and historical sites of the ancient city, and walking here is like flipping through a heavy book. Zhongshan Road, which runs through the north and south of the ancient city, strings up the ruins or old sites of the city gates such as Chaotian Gate, Quanshan Gate, and Deji Gate;It brings together precious buildings from various periods since the Song Dynasty, such as the Romanesque bell tower, the Shanghai barber shop, the ** church where Shi Lang's back garden was originally located, the Huaqiao Tzu Chi Palace, and the Pan ......Palace where Xiucai studiedIt has already become a unique cultural symbol of Quanzhou, carrying the business and cultural context of Quanzhou, especially the arcade building, and also reflects the mutual exchange, collision and integration of Chinese and Western architectural cultures, embodies the spirit of Quanzhou people's hard work, patriotism and openness, and is the memory and nostalgia of the people of the ancient city and overseas Chinese.
Initiate protection and rectification many times to protect the "landmark" of Quanzhou
Zhongshan Road hides the profound history and culture of Quanzhou, the history of Zhongshan Road can be traced back to the Tang Dynasty, it is one of the earliest developed streets and areas in Quanzhou, as early as the Song and Yuan dynasties it was the most lively neighborhood in Quanzhou. In the early 20s of the 20th century, in order to improve the backward traffic situation of the ancient city of Quanzhou, Quanzhou demolished the city and opened up the road, which was invested and transformed into a unique Nanyang style of the north and south streets, and later renamed "Zhongshan Road" in order to commemorate Mr. Sun Yat-sen. As the first widened road in the old town of Quanzhou, the complete protection of Zhongshan Road, a historical and cultural district, has preserved the "cross-shaped urban framework" of the old city.
Since its completion, Zhongshan Road has been the most popular business district in Quanzhou. In the early 50s of the 20th century, Quanzhou Department Store was established, which led to the rise of the department store business district. At that time, most of Quanzhou's famous and large-scale department stores, book and stationery industries, photography industries, sweet flavor industries, pharmaceutical industries, financial industries, flower making industries, and film industries gathered on this street. Huang Tongyi Silk and Satin Yarn Village, Shanghai Baohua Shoe Store, Lin Wanchang Bookstore, Nanhua Thai Foreign Goods, Guanglong Chang Silk Village, Dong Baofa Hualun, Jiansheng New Pharmacy, Shanghai Dahua Bookstore, Luo Ke Photo Studio, Western Chinese Arts and Crafts Shop, Shanghai Barber Room, ......These surviving "time-honored" old plaques have witnessed the prosperous commercial history of Zhongshan Road.
Protecting Zhongshan Road is to protect the "landmark" of Quanzhou. In 2000, in accordance with the decision of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government, the protection and remediation of Zhongshan Road was officially launched. The renovation is based on the principle of protection, repairing the old as the old, inheriting the characteristics, maintaining the integrity of the style, and following the historical contextIn 2013, Quanzhou started the renovation of Zhongshan Road for the second time, focusing on the protection of the original façade and the repair of the arcade ceilingAt the beginning of 2018, the first "micro-transformation" project of back streets and alleys in the ancient city of Quanzhou, the transformation of Goldfish Lane was completed, attracting thousands of tourists to come to "check in". At the end of the same year, as one of the "Seven Ones" projects for the ecological restoration of the ancient city, the Zhongshan Road Protection and Improvement Project was officially launched, involving architectural features, landscape transportation, municipal infrastructure, night lighting, etc., and the century-old street has been full of vitality so far.
