Mondo Education Updated on 2024-01-31

The national lines A and B refer to the college areas divided by the Ministry of Education according to the economic and educational development levels of various places. Zone 1 is a Class A area, and Zone 2 is a Class B area. There is usually a 2 10-point difference between the cut-off scores for these two types of areas.

Specifically, the Category A area refers to a district with a high level of development in all aspects such as economy and education, and the candidates who apply for the Category A area are the Category A candidates. Category B is the second district with a slightly lower overall economic and educational level, and candidates who apply for the Category B area are Category B candidates.

When formulating and announcing the national line for postgraduate entrance examination, all provinces and cities in the country will be divided into one district and two districts. Candidates who apply for the examination in the unit of District 1 are Category A candidates, and candidates who apply for the examination in the unit of District 2 are candidates of Category B. The two regions are 10 provinces (regions) each year, including Inner Mongolia, Guangxi, Hainan, Guizhou, Yunnan, Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia and Xinjiang.

In short, if it is a region with a high level of economic development, it is a district, and candidates who apply for such areas are Class A postgraduate examinations, and the score line of such areas is relatively high. Then the economically underdeveloped areas and the western region are the second district, and the candidates who apply for such areas are the B category postgraduate examination, and the score line of the B category is lower than that of the A category.

Every year, the basic requirements for the preliminary examination results of postgraduate candidates to enter the re-examination will be announced, which is called the line. As long as the candidate's preliminary examination score reaches the corresponding line, even if he or she fails to enter the re-examination of the first choice institution because of the ranking, he or she can be transferred to other colleges and universities if he or she meets the conditions.

It should be noted that the national line for the postgraduate entrance examination is the unified line drawn by the Ministry of Education, and it is the minimum score line that must be passed to enter the re-examination. Each year, the national line is divided into two categories: academic degree (master's) and professional degree (master's). The score line for Zone 1 and Zone 2 is different, and usually the score of Zone 1 is about 10 points higher than that of Zone 2.

In the process of preparing for the postgraduate entrance examination, candidates need to carefully understand the subjects and content of the exam, formulate a reasonable review plan, review and practice carefully, and strive to achieve good results in the exam. At the same time, candidates also need to maintain a good mindset and a positive attitude, believing that they can overcome difficulties and challenges and achieve their goals.
