The slide number is set but not displayed
When making slides, we often encounter a confusing problem: the slide numbers have been set, but they are not visible when presenting. This situation can be confusing and unsettling as it not only affects the coherence and integrity of the slides but can also negatively impact the viewer's visual experience. So, why is this happening? And how to solve it?
1. Cause analysis.
1.Slide numbering is disabled.
In some cases, slide numbering may be disabled unexpectedly. For example, when inserting a slide, you might accidentally turn off the display option for slide numbers.
2.Slide numbering is not formatted correctly.
If the slide numbers are not formatted correctly, it can also cause display issues. For example, if the format of the slide number does not match the other text formatting in the slide, it may cause the display to be unexpected.
3.The slide number does not match the slide.
In some cases, the slide number may not match the slide. For example, if the slide numbers are copied from another presentation, it may result in a mismatch with the slides of the current presentation.
Second, the solution.
1.Enable slide numbering.
First, you can check if slide numbering is enabled. In the View tab, select Notes Page View, and then check that the appropriate slide number appears below each slide. If it doesn't appear, you can right-click where the slide number is, select Slide Number, and then select the Title and Footer checkbox. This will enable slide numbering.
2.Adjust the slide numbering format.
If the slide number is not formatted correctly, you can adjust its formatting. In the Home tab, select Slide Number in the Slides group, and then click the Format button. In the Format Slide Numbering dialog box, you can set properties such as font, color, and position of slide numbering.
3.Rematch the slide number.
If the slide numbers don't match the slides, you can rematch them. In the View tab, select Notes Page View, and then check that the appropriate slide number appears below each slide. If you have numbers that don't match, you can manually adjust their order to match the order of the slides in your presentation.
3. Precautions.
1.When making slides, it is recommended to always enable slide numbering to ensure the coherence and completeness of your presentation.
2.If you need to copy slides from another presentation into the current presentation, be careful to check and adjust their numbering order and formatting.
3.When adjusting the format of slide numbers, it is recommended to maintain consistency with other text formats to avoid display anomalies.
4.If you encounter other problems or questions, it is advisable to consult the relevant documentation or seek professional help.
