The Xubi section of the Longhuang Railway belongs to the construction of the new land-sea corridor in the west, starting from Xuyong North Station in Luzhou City, Sichuan Province, and going south through Xingwen County, Yibin City, Weixin County, Zhenxiong County, Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province, to Bijie East Station, Bijie City, Guizhou Province. The total length of the main line is 1893 kilometers, the design speed of 120 kilometers per hour, is a national single-track electrified railway, passenger and freight line mainly freight. On May 20, 2022, after 6 years, the control project of the whole line is also the last tunnel, and the Banzhulin Tunnel was safely and smoothly completedOn July 20, 2022, the last major and difficult project of the whole line, the Fengjiazhai Bridge with the highest pier (129 meters) and the largest span (168 meters) of the whole line, was successfully closedOn January 14, 2023, the main structure of the passenger station of the whole line will be capped;On September 14, 2023, the track laying of the whole line was completed.

The Xubi section of the Longhuang Railway is a project for the unimpeded passage of the western land-sea new channel, a key section of the railway freight passage from Sichuan to Guangxi Beibu Gulf, and a red project to promote the construction of old revolutionary areas and help rural revitalization.
