Tan Zheng and *** are both Hunan villagers, ** are from Xiangtan, Hunan, and Tan Zheng is from Xiangxiang, Hunan. In 1927, ** led the Autumn Harvest Uprising on the border of Hunan and Jiangxi, and Tan Zheng, as the secretary of the First Regiment of the First Division of the Workers' and Peasants' Revolutionary Army, actively participated in the Autumn Harvest Uprising.
After the "Sanwan Reorganization" in Jinggangshan, Tan Zheng became the secretary of the First Regiment of the First Division of the First Army of the Workers' and Peasants' Revolutionary Army. His military talents are appreciated. The *** who walked with *** is also from Hunan, and these three fellows drank the water of the Xiangjiang River and walked through Jinggang Mountain.
Tan Zheng joined the Communist Party of China on Jinggang Mountain and became a member of the Communist Party. In his daily interactions with ***, Tan Zheng gradually learned about ***'s profound insights and outstanding intelligence. In 1927, 21-year-old Tan Zheng became the secretary of ***.
During this time, Tan Zheng not only assisted *** in handling affairs, but also participated in the book "The Struggle in Jinggangshan" under the guidance of ***. He has witnessed ***'s military talent and leadership demeanor, and has continued to grow under ***'s teaching.
During the War of Liberation, Tan Zheng made great efforts for the revolutionary cause. He participated in the Northeast Campaign, and made great contributions to the founding of New China and the final victory of the revolution. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, he held a number of important positions, including the 3rd Political Commissar and Cadre Management Minister of the Central South Military Region and the 4th Field Army.
In 1988, the 82-year-old Tan Zheng ended his glorious life and fell the star. In his rich life, the fate with *** has become a moving history. He was a silent giver beside the great leader and dedicated his life to the cause of the party and the people.
