BMW AG recently released the latest renders and road test spy photos of the all-new X3 pure electric version of the model, revealing the exterior design and some functional details of this model. The new model is expected to make its official debut in 2025 and is expected to go on sale within the same year. The new car is internally codenamed "NA5" and is expected to continue to be named "ix3". In addition, the new car will enter the Chinese market in 2025 and will be built on the Neue Klasse platform alongside overseas models, competing with models such as the Mercedes-Benz EQC, Tesla Model Y, NIO ES6 and the upcoming Audi Q6 e-tron.
As can be seen from the announced **, the new generation X3 pure electric version of the model adopts a newly designed closed front grille and integrated LED headlight clusters, equipped with hidden door handles on both sides of the body, and a narrow LED taillight cluster at the rear, and the overall design style is similar to that of BMW IX high-end SUV models. It is reported that the body size of the new car will be increased across the board, and the size of the domestic version is also expected to increase.
In terms of powertrain, the all-new X3 pure electric version is expected to be available in single-motor, dual-motor and triple-motor versions, equipped with a new power battery pack, and the maximum range is expected to reach 700 kilometers. BMW also plans to debut the X3 all-electric version of the M-Series high-performance sports model, which will be independently driven by four electric motors with a maximum output of around 1,000kW and will be sold at the same time as the X3 M petrol version.
