Recently, Bugatti presented its latest private model, the Chiron Super Sport "57 One of One", which was one of the last cars produced before the production of the Chiron Super Sport.
The car pays homage to the legendary Bugatti Type 57 SC Atlantic through its design, and there is a beautiful story to be told about the car.
According to reports, the owner was deeply fascinated by the Bugatti Type 57 SC when she first saw it about 20 years ago, and the Type 57 SC is the most beautiful car in the world in her eyes.
Twenty years later, her husband took her to the Château Saint Jean in the French town of Molsheim, the true birthplace of the Bugatti brand, where she set up her very own Chiron Super Sport, where they visited the headquarters and passed by the Type 57 SC, suddenly realized that this was the beautiful car I saw 20 years ago, so I simply used the design inspiration of this car, and this Bugatti design inspired the custom of the CHIRON Super Sport, this new car captures the essence of the design of the Type 57 SC.
Bugatti's chief designer, Jascha Straub, wanted the new car to be in exactly the same colour as the Type 57 SC before it, because that would give her a sense of how they first met each other whenever she saw it.
The Bugatti Type 57 SC Atlantic, born in the 30s of the last century, has a maximum power of 200 hp and a top speed of 200 km h. Initially, 4 cars were produced worldwide, and only 2-3 are currently in existence, setting a record for the highest value of antique cars - $30 million.
After an official inquiry, it was discovered that the Bugatti Type 57 SC that the woman first saw currently belonged to a wealthy Spanish car collector.
After the official communication with Bugatti, the designer personally flew to Bilbao, Spain to observe the classic car, and the designer also carefully observed the paint effect of the car under different light conditions with his eyes to ensure that the new car is completely consistent with the original.
Getting the colors right is only half the customization process. By going through, you'll notice that, unlike the regular Bugatti Chiron Super Sport, this car has the same dense-spoke chrome grille as the Type 57 SC Atlantic, with a rough trim strip on the central axis splitting it in half and extending backwards to the front bonnet rib line.
Large, light blue five-spoke wheels can be seen from the side, and the yellow reflective strip on the front wheel arches reveals the American identity. At the rear, there is a large diffuser and a stout double-sided longitudinal quad exhaust, while a Type 57 SC Atlantic hand-drawn sketch is drawn underneath the active rear wing.
The interior is in gaucho leather with light blue stitching, and the stoppers are accented with light blue metal trim.
A sketch of the Type 57 SC Atlantic is drawn on the door panels, while the headrests are embroidered in Bugatti's classic Dancing Elephant. The "57 one of one" nameplates on both sides of the drivetrain** aisle and behind the gear knob indicate its special and exclusive status.
In terms of power, this car is still equipped with 80T four-turbo W16 engine, maximum power 1600 horsepower, matched with 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and full-time four-wheel drive, acceleration of 100 kilometers 245s, the top speed is limited to 440km h. The owner said that such power is really enough for her.
Often, this custom-made model will be spent in the halls or lawns of major car exhibitions. And the owner of this car is someone who really likes to drive.
The owner said that after the official delivery, she plans to drive the car for a long-distance road trip through the scenic landscape of the American West.
Imagine a 70-year-old Bugatti superfan driving a supercar on a coastal road on the West Coast of the United States, along with the magnificent natural scenery.
