Our family is a true farmer and has a very deep understanding of the rural and urban lifestyle. I have a point of view on this, and I would like to talk to you about it.
When I was a child in school, I could only learn a little about the city on TV and in books. There is always a sense of superiority and envy for people who work in the city and go home to visit relatives. Including food and clothing, it is very different from rural people. The adults in the family often say: study hard, and find a job in the city in the future, so you don't have to farm at home. This shows that in the impression of the older generation, the gap between rural and urban areas is still very large.
As I grew older, after studying abroad and entering work, I gradually integrated into the city life, and felt that it was the same in the city, with high-rise buildings, but also low bungalows, clean streets, and potholes. It's still different from the city I imagined. There are also a lot of stolen goods.
Now that society is making continuous progress, the gap between urban and rural areas is also narrowing at a speed visible to the naked eye, and even people in the city go to the countryside for tourism and leisure, and rural people go to the city for consumption and shopping. Then they each went home, forming an interesting polar reversal and fusion. This phenomenon is something I couldn't have imagined before.
In short, the city and the countryside are looking for their lost selves in the process of continuous progress.
