Plastic emulsion is a dispersion system formed by plastic particles floating in a liquid medium. In order to obtain a stable and well-performing plastic emulsion, it is necessary to ensure that the particles are evenly dispersed within the liquid, i.e. homogeneous. The high-pressure homogenizer can well micronize and homogenize the dispersion in the suspension (or emulsion) system, which plays a role in reducing the dispersion size and improving the uniform distribution of dispersion at the same time.
High pressure homogenizer JXNANO-15
Purpose of the experiment
1.The particle size of the 200ml sample discharge reaches the nanometer level.
2.Keep the sample below 40 during homogenization.
3.Before homogenization, the sample needs to be homogenized to less than 200um with a high-speed disperser, and then homogenized with a high-pressure homogenizer.
Experimental Instruments:
1.A high-pressure nano homogenizer (JXNANO-15) with chiller
2.One sample and three empty bottles.
3.Three hoses.
Experimental process
1.Two hoses are connected to the inlet and outlet of the chiller, and one is connected to the outlet.
2.Plug in the power to turn on the red power switch on the right side, then turn on the pressure switch, wait for the pressure gauge to zero, and then add water to the cup first, and then start the motor switch. Set the frequency, and slowly adjust the pressure handle to control the pressure value, and finally circulate the water in the instrument once, and wait for the water in the cup to be placed near the bottom to add the sample.
3.The discharge hose was directly put into the cup, cycled several times, and homogenized three times under the pressure of 60MPa, 80MPa, and 120MPa (pressure values: 600 bar, 800 bar, 1200 bar, respectively), and obtained three homogenized samples.
Experimental results
After homogenization, the sample emulsion was very delicate as a whole, and the particles in it were significantly smaller and evenly and stably dispersed in the system.
Comparison renderings before and after homogenization
Precautions.
1.After homogenization, add water to the cup to the water sample at the discharge port until it is clear, then pass the pipeline twice with alcohol, and finally seal a little alcohol in the pipeline. (Note: Alcohol is sealed in the line and allowed to volatilize naturally, so that air does not enter the instrument the next time it is used.) )
2.Do not allow air to enter the instrument chamber, otherwise the pressure value will be unstable and the gas will need to be discharged with the help of tools.
Researchers of high-pressure homogenizers are widely used in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, chemical, food and other fields, with the characteristics of high efficiency, fast and good homogenization effect. In production, the function of the high-pressure homogenizer is to homogeneously mix the inhomogeneous substances through the shear action of high pressure and high speed, and make the mixing between the solution and the solid more homogeneous and stable.
