Is it good or bad?Didi special orders, from order grabbing to assignment mode, what do you think?

As soon as 2024 begins, various online car-hailing platforms will begin to show their New Year's drama. Now the dilemma of online car-hailing is self-evident, the platform, drivers, and passengers all have their own problems that are difficult to solve, passengers want better service, drivers want to make more money, and platforms want higher profits and higher order acceptance rates.

In order to balance the demands of the three parties and the comprehensive conditions, we can only rack our brains. Didi drivers in Shijiazhuang, Suzhou, Weinan and other places received news that the platform has restored the order receiving method of the special express from grabbing orders to the assignment mode. The system will match orders according to the principle of nearby dispatch, and drivers do not need to manually grab orders.

Regarding preferential orders, in the past year, Didi has been tossing and turning, from August to November, it has piloted real-time pricing of special orders in 91 cities in five batches. If there is more or less than the estimated mileage and duration, the system will calculate it in real time according to the actual driving situation, which is basically decoupled from the previous fixed price method.

In this way, when the driver encounters traffic jams, etc., he can get the corresponding fee for the waiting time, and if the passenger asks the driver to send an extra mileage, the driver can also get more mileage, how to calculate it is not a loss.

At present, the follow-up adjustment of the preferential order mainly reflects the efficiency of the dispatch of the order based on the principle of proximity, and relatively speaking, it can better reflect the fairness of the dispatch. With a shorter driving distance, it can save the driver's idle driving cost and improve the operational efficiency of the platform. Now many drivers have a lot of opinions on the nonsensical dispatch of the platform, obviously they are near the passengers, but they just can't receive the order, and even some drivers can't take the order in order to do the test to see how outrageous the distance of the dispatch is, and they can't pick up the orders they send.

Only in the case of the same distance, the platform will give priority to drivers with higher word-of-mouth value, which can be regarded as an explanation to the drivers who open preferential orders from the perspective of algorithms.

But is the root of the problem? What the driver complains about is that it is all minutiae, and the most essential problem is that the unit price is too low now. There is a good saying, if the unit price reaches 5 yuan a kilometer, even if the platform takes 60% away, someone will rush to run. Only when the potential of the market is not large, the platform will pick out these details.

What do you think about the adjustment of Didi's preferential list this time, as a driver? You can leave a message in the comment area to discuss.
