Hanoi, 11 Dec (Xinhua) -- Since the establishment of the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between China and Vietnam 15 years ago, the people-to-people exchanges between the two countries have been deepening day by day, and the distance between the people's hearts and minds has been narrowing.

China and Vietnam are connected by mountains and rivers and have similar cultures, and there are natural and convenient conditions for people-to-people exchanges between the two countries. TV series based on four Chinese masterpieces such as "Journey to the West", "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", "Water Margin" and "Dream of Red Mansions" have been widely disseminated in Vietnam. Nguyen Qiong Mai, a 26-year-old graduate student at the University of Humanities and Social Sciences affiliated with the National University in Ho Chi Minh City, told reporters: "I am from Hanoi, and when I was a child, I would watch "Journey to the West" in front of the TV every summer vacation. The Monkey King, who has great powers, and the king of the daughter country who is alluring the country and the city, are all characters that I particularly like. Nowadays, if you go to Hanoi's Old Quarter, you can often see performances by the Monkey King, which attracts many people. ”

At present, the Chinese TV dramas that Vietnamese young people like to watch are mainly ancient costumes and urban romances. Nguyen Minh Anh, a student of the directing department of Hanoi Drama and Film University, told reporters: "Chinese TV dramas have good screenwriting and excellent production, and we love to watch works such as "Flower Thousand Bone" and "Three Lives and Three Worlds and Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms". I am graduating next year, and Chinese TV dramas have provided me with a lot of inspiration for my graduation project. ”

*The work is also a spiritual bond between the Chinese and Vietnamese people. Nowadays, in the streets and alleys of Vietnam, you can frequently hear songs that are very popular on the Douyin platform, such as "Dislocation of Time and Space", "White Moonlight and Cinnabar Mole", and many young Vietnamese people will sing along when they hear these **. At the same time, Vietnamese online pop songs such as "See Tinh" and "Body Shaming" have also become popular in China in the past two years, and Vietnamese singer Zhifu is also very popular with Chinese audiences for participating in the Chinese variety show "Riding the Wind 2023".

Since the beginning of this year, people-to-people exchanges between China and Vietnam have continued to heat up. On March 15 this year, at the Friendship International Port in Lang Son Province, Vietnam, local girls wearing hats and crossing the traditional Ao Dai of South China presented flowers, and local people held a lion dance performance to welcome the first batch of Chinese tour groups to Vietnam through land ports after the resumption of outbound group tours in China's pilot program. As of the end of September, the number of Chinese tourists visiting Vietnam this year has exceeded 1.12 million. Ho Van Chao, Deputy Director General of the General Directorate of Tourism of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam, said that tourism cooperation is an important area of Vietnam-China cooperation, tourism is an important pillar of Vietnam's economy, and the return of Chinese tourists has injected strong impetus into Vietnam's economic recovery.

The future of China-Vietnam relations plays an important role in youth and educational cooperation. In December 2014, the Confucius Institute at Hanoi University was officially established. According to Luo Jun, the Chinese dean of the college, the college has actively organized various youth exchange activities since its establishment nine years ago, such as the "Sing a Song" China-ASEAN Youth Film and Television Song Festival last month in cooperation with the Radio and Television Bureau of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and other units in China, attracting about 400 people to participate. The institute also cooperated with Guangxi Normal University Press Group to build the Duxiu Study Room Confucius Institute Store at Hanoi University in Vietnam, providing a reading space for local students to learn about Chinese culture.

The number of Vietnamese students studying in China is increasing year by year, creating opportunities for more Vietnamese young people to understand Chinese history and culture firsthand. According to the National Study Abroad Committee, there are more than 230,000 Vietnamese students came to China to study and Xi, and the two sides have helped each other in educational cooperation.

Last year, China announced that it would provide Vietnam with no less than 1,000 Chinese** scholarships and no less than 1,000 scholarships for international Chinese teachers in the next five years to help Vietnam cultivate high-level talents and international Chinese teachers, which will greatly promote educational cooperation between China and Vietnam.

Nguyen Thi Hung Nhan, a lecturer at the Department of Chinese Chinese Languages and Cultures of the University of Foreign Chinese under Hanoi National University, said that there is great promise for Vietnam-China cooperation in the field of humanities, and he believes that the two sides will further promote people-to-people exchanges in the future and continue to consolidate the social foundation of Vietnam-China friendship.
