1. Registration objects and registration conditions.
1) Fresh junior high school students or junior high school graduates and graduates under the age of 18 (born on or after September 1, 2006, the same below) with permanent residence in the city can register at the school where they are registered (or the original junior high school graduation school, the same below) or the district where their household registration is located.
2) Students who are not permanent residents of the city who meet one of the following conditions can participate in the enrollment registration in the city: 1If one of the student's parents holds a valid Shanghai Residence Permit and the points reach the standard score, and at the same time is a junior high school student or a previous junior high school graduate under the age of 18 who holds a valid Shanghai Residence Permit, he or she can register in the district where the address is registered on the Shanghai Residence Permit held by the student. 2.One of the student's parents and himself or herself holding a valid "Shanghai Residence Permit for Overseas Talents" or the student belongs to the "children of students with foreign passports with household registration in Shanghai" recognized by the Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, and the student is a junior high school student in Shanghai or a previous junior high school graduate in Shanghai under the age of 18, can register in the district where the school is located. 3.Students whose parents are currently permanent residents of the city (of which the current permanent residence of the students are stepparents or adoptive parents of the students, and must establish a custody relationship or adoption relationship with the students for at least 3 consecutive years in accordance with the law) or previous junior high school graduates under the age of 18 (former students must obtain the qualification for 2023 enrollment in the city) can register in the district where the school is located. Students who meet this category must have 3 consecutive years of junior high school status in the city; The student holds a Shanghai Residence Permit for at least 3 consecutive years within the validity period, or the address of the Shanghai Residence Permit within the validity period is the same as the actual residential address of the parent who is currently a permanent resident in Shanghai. 4.One of the student's parents is a member of the postdoctoral mobile station (workstation) of a university or scientific research institution in Shanghai, and the student is a junior high school student or a previous junior high school graduate under the age of 18 in Shanghai. 5.One of the student's parents is a relevant staff member of the Shanghai office above the prefecture-level city (including the prefecture-level city) registered by the Municipal Cooperation and Exchange Office, and the student is a junior high school student or a previous junior high school graduate under the age of 18 in the city, and can register in the district where the school is located. 6.Students who are compatriots in Shanghai and Taiwan, permanent residents of Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions, and are junior high school students in Shanghai or previous junior high school graduates under the age of 18 can register in the district where the school is located. 7.Students who have been recognized by the Municipal ** Overseas Chinese Affairs Office as overseas Chinese, and are junior high school students in the city or previous junior high school graduates under the age of 18 in the city, can register in the district where the school is located. 8.Students who have settled in Shanghai and hold the "Permanent Residence Permit for Foreigners of the People's Republic of China", and are junior high school students or previous junior high school graduates under the age of 18 can register in the district where the school is located. (3) Students under the age of 18 who hold a foreign passport with a valid visa and legally reside in the city can register in the district where the school is located if they continue to study in the city's high school school. Students who register with foreign passports shall refer to their junior high school academic proficiency test results in this city, and the education bureau of the district where they register will make overall arrangements for enrollment in accordance with relevant policies. (4) Some full-time ordinary secondary vocational schools in Shanghai independently recruit the children of the city's junior high school graduates who come to Shanghai and the enrollment and registration conditions will be notified separately.
5) Students with disabilities in the third year of junior high school in the city's special education schools (including special education classes in ordinary schools) who meet the requirements of paragraphs (1) and (2) and students with disabilities who are in the third year of junior high school in the city's junior high school may participate in the enrollment of special education schools at the high school level in the city (including special education classes attached to ordinary secondary vocational schools, the same below), and the school of enrollment is to uniformly organize registration.
Students with disabilities who are enrolled in junior high schools in the city and who need to participate in the enrollment of special education schools at the high school level in the city must pass the registration assessment organized by the Shanghai Special Student Education Assessment Center (hereinafter referred to as the "Shanghai Special Education Assessment Center").
2. Relevant explanations.
1) For applicants who meet the requirements of this notice, the relevant supporting materials are shown in Annex 1, and the "Shanghai Residence Permit" and "Shanghai Overseas Talent Residence Permit" involved in this notice must be valid until May 7, 2024.
2) Students participating in the 2024 high school enrollment in the city must register according to the requirements of this notice. Students enrolled in the Affiliated School of Shanghai Wai Chinese University, Pudong Wai Chinese School Affiliated to Shanghai Wai Chinese University, Shanghai Experimental School, Shanghai Friendship Middle School, Shanghai Sports Middle School and other schools must register according to the requirements of this notice.
All types of schools at the high school level in the city (including special education schools, the same below) must not admit or pre-admit students who have not completed their registration.
3) Students participating in the registration are limited to 1 district; Students cannot change their information after confirming their registration information.
4) High school students are not allowed to participate in the enrollment registration.
5) To meet the requirements of this notice, the applicants must be junior high school students or previous students who have completed compulsory education, and the student's junior high school registration information or junior high school completion information shall be checked and verified in the national student registration system.
6) Those who are the applicants specified in paragraphs (2) and (3) of the first part of this notice, and who need to participate in the enrollment registration of the city's ordinary college examinations, the registration of overseas Chinese, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan students jointly recruited by ordinary colleges and universities, and the registration of international students by colleges and universities, shall be implemented in accordance with the relevant policies of the Ministry of Education and the Municipal Education Commission in the current year.
7) The Municipal Education Commission will cooperate with relevant departments to rely on the "Municipal Big Data Center" to verify the registration qualifications and supporting materials of the above-mentioned types of registration objects, and for students who use false or invalid materials to obtain qualifications when registering, their registration qualifications will be cancelled once verified. If a student has been admitted to a high school in this city, his or her admission qualification and the corresponding high school status will be cancelled.
8) Students who have obtained the qualification for the 2024 Shanghai Admission and completed the registration will be deemed to have automatically obtained the registration qualification for the corresponding subject test of the Junior High School Academic Proficiency Test in Shanghai.
3. Time and method of registration.
The 2024 Shanghai Municipal Education Examination Institute is responsible for the registration of the Shanghai Municipal Education Examination Institute. The basic information of the city's junior high school students is directly connected to the enrollment database by the "Shanghai Primary and Secondary School Student Registration Information Management System" and the "Municipal Big Data Center" database.
1) Verify the registration materials.

Some of the supporting materials of students who meet the registration conditions of this notice have been verified by the "Municipal Big Data Center"**, and the students (or their guardians) shall provide copies for retention. The original and photocopies of the remaining supporting materials must be provided, which shall be verified and kept on file by the junior high school and the enrollment of each district, hereinafter referred to as the "district recruitment". When necessary, students and their guardians may be required to present the electronic certificates of relevant documents on the spot through the "Citizen Cloud with Bidding" app for identity scanning code verification.
Key information collection of students**Requirements: Chinese mainland residents are subject to the information in the household registration book; For Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents, please refer to the "Residence Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents of the People's Republic of China", "Residence Permit for Taiwan Residents of the People's Republic of China" or "Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents" or "Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents" for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents. For foreign students, please refer to the "Permanent Residence Permit of the People's Republic of China for Foreigners" or valid visa and passport information.
2.Verification time.
The verification time for the registration materials of the junior high school students in this city is from December 18, 2023 to February 20, 2024 (except for winter vacation). After checking the information, if the student information needs to be modified, the key information must be modified in the "Shanghai Primary and Secondary School Student Registration Information Management System" and then connected to the enrollment database, and the rest of the information can be modified in the enrollment registration system.
Other eligible students' registration materials will be checked after successful online registration, among which previous junior high school graduates and graduates need to provide junior high school graduation and completion certificates, and junior high school students from other provinces and cities need to provide junior high school attendance and other materials. The information of students' junior high school registration is subject to the results of the national student registration information system.
3.Assessment Requirements for Students with Disabilities.
Students with disabilities who have completed the enrollment and are enrolled in the third year of junior high school in the city, and who are really interested in applying for the city's high school special education school, must submit an application to their school before March 11, 2024, and submit it to the Municipal Special Education Assessment Center after being approved and summarized by each district, and the Municipal Special Education Assessment Center will feedback the assessment results to each district before April 10, 2024 after completing the assessment
2) Online registration and information confirmation.
1.Group registration.
The junior high school students who meet the registration conditions of this notice shall be uniformly organized by their schools to register online, from February 22 to March 2, 2024. Among them, the information confirmation of the junior high school students in the city who participated in the registration in the district where the student is registered will be carried out at the same time as the online registration. If necessary, the school may require the student and his or her parents (guardians) to come to the school for on-site confirmation.
The time for online registration and on-site confirmation is April 19-20, 2024.
2.Individual registration.
The online registration time for previous junior high school graduates, graduates or junior high school graduates from other provinces and cities who meet the registration conditions of this notice is February 23-28, 2024, and the time for material verification and information confirmation is March 1-2, 2024.
3) Late registration.
If the applicant who meets the requirements of paragraph (1) (2) and (3) of the first part of this notice fails to obtain valid supporting materials during the unified registration, he or she shall apply to the district recruitment *** with valid supporting materials before May 7, 2024 at the latest, and make up the registration after being checked by the district recruitment *** and reported to the Municipal Education Examination Institute. The late registration period is May 6-7, 2024.
