WRAP certification, or "Responsible Global Garment Manufacturing," is a worldwide responsible apparel The English abbreviation of production, WRAP standard is developed by the global clothing production social responsibility organization, with the aim of improving the human rights situation of garment manufacturers around the world, WRAP is currently the largest social responsibility certification organization in the garment industry, and has been recognized by more than 100 international brands.
WRAP includes social responsibility and anti-terrorism audits, with relatively high standards and strong versatility in its certificates. WRAR audits are conducted by an independent external auditor accredited by WRAP.
Enterprise Audit Type.
1. Initial review: semi-notice (4 weeks of surprise time).
2. Follow-up audit: semi-notice (4 weeks of surprise time), the end of the last audit to the latest audit date, to ensure that 45 days are met, if the last audit has wage and working hours problems, it takes 3 months of new records to apply for follow-up audit.
3. Annual review: semi-notice (4 weeks of assault time), records of the past 12 months or 6 months.
4. No notice of spot check: no notice at all, from the latest WRAP audit to the date of this random inspection.
5. Written review: notice.
What is the zero tolerance for WRAP certification;
1. Child labor, including the worst forms of child labor (slavery, forced labor, human trafficking, serfdom, debt slavery, **pornography, work involving illegal activities of children, or work that may cause physical or mental harm to children).
2. Forced labor (bonded labor, workers are not allowed to leave their jobs on their own, forced overtime).
3. Inhumane treatment (the use of threats of physical harm or extreme intimidation, corporal punishment, mental or physical coercion).
4. Encourage auditors to abandon unethical behavior in good faith.
5. Threaten the personal safety of the audit team.
6. Making false statements in certificates or audit reports (e.g., tampering with or falsifying certificates or reports).
7. Making false statements about the production process (e.g., concealing all parts of the production floor or process from the auditor).
WRAP Certificate Rating Definition:
*Certificate, Platinum Certificate, Silver Certificate.
1. Silver certificate (valid for 6 months).
It is usually a major problem that arises and eventually improves (e.g., a problem with wages and hours).
If the audit results in a few changes to policies, manufacturing processes, or training, the facility may apply for a Silver Certificate from WRAP on its own, and the Silver Certificate will not be automatically issued.
Child labor, forced labor, hazardous working conditions, coercion and harassment, insufficient minimum wage or overtime pay must not be included in the audit report.
2. **Certificate (1 year validity).
*Certificates are issued to companies that fully comply with the 12 WRAP Principles, i.e. there were no issues with the most recent report.
3. Platinum certificate (valid for 2 years).
To be eligible for a Platinum Certificate, a business must have obtained the ** Certificate for at least three consecutive years.
All companies awarded the Platinum Certificate must successfully pass each audit, take no corrective action, and continue to participate in the certification without any gaps.
