Health for All says
In recent years, with the increase in health awareness, young people have paid more attention to health preservation. However, along with the health boom, there are also various health "brain hole" theories, many of which attract attention. However, as an experienced veteran Chinese medicine practitioner, I have to question the reliability of these so-called health "brain holes".
First of all, we need to clarify the essence of wellness. Wellness is not about short-term results, but about long-term health. Traditional Chinese medicine focuses on "curing diseases before they occur", that is, by adjusting the internal environment of the body, enhancing immunity and preventing the occurrence of diseases. Therefore, health preservation should be scientific, reasonable, and empirically supported, rather than the one-sided pursuit of personal wishes.
However, the "brain holes" of health care are often not scientifically verified, and even contradict the theories of traditional Chinese medicine. For example, some people advocate soaking their feet to condition the body, claiming that it can improve blood circulation and relieve fatigue. It is true that foot soaking has a certain health effect, but it is not a panacea. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that although foot soaking can warm the meridians, the specific effect depends on the individual situation. In addition, there are some unscientific health preservation methods, such as making sun basking a way of health preservation, which has no basis in TCM theory.
Compared with the popularity of health "brain holes", Chinese medicine has rich experience and theoretical support for health preservation. Traditional Chinese medicine attaches great importance to disease prevention before it happens, and focuses on adjusting the balance of yin and yang in the body. For example, in the book "Treatise on Typhoid Fever and Miscellaneous Diseases" written by Zhang Zhongjing, a famous ancient Chinese doctor, the concept of "yin and yang balance" was proposed, and this goal was achieved through the compatible use of drugs. In addition, there are many famous prescriptions in traditional Chinese medicine health preservation, such as "Four Seasons Health Regimen", "Five Poultry Opera" and so on. These methods have been verified by long-term clinical practice and scientific validation, and have certain efficacy.
However, despite the rich history and experience of TCM health preservation, we need to see that it is not magical. Wellness needs vary from person to person, as each person has a different constitution and reacts differently to regimen regimens. Therefore, we need to pay attention to the principles of science and individualization when maintaining health, and cannot blindly follow some unscientific health "brain holes".
In general, young people's various health "brain holes" often lack scientific support and are contrary to the theories of traditional Chinese medicine. In contrast, TCM wellness is experienced and reliable, but it also needs to vary from person to person. We should maintain a scientific attitude, look at health care rationally, and avoid blindly following unreliable health "brain holes". Only under the guidance of science can we truly achieve the right way to maintain health and move towards the road of health and longevity.
