According to the agreement, the total contract value of the "West Auriga" is about 5$7.7 billion, the total contract value of the "West Polaris" is about 5$1.8 billion. The agreement, which includes additional service fees and transfer fees, is fixed for a fixed term of 1,064 days and will be fulfilled from the fourth quarter of 2024.
Prior to servicing Petrobras, the two drillships will transition from existing third-party management companies to Seadrill. Currently, SeaDrill has four drillships operating in Brazilian waters.
The "West Auriga" belongs to the 7th generation of the Type 12000 ultra-deepwater dual-operation drillship, by South KoreaConstructed by Samsung Heavy IndustriesCompleted and delivered in 2013, the vessel can accommodate up to 200 people and can operate at a depth of 12,000 feet, with a maximum drilling depth of 37,500 feet. "West Polaris" belongs to the 6th generation ultra-deepwater dual-operation drillship of the 10000 type, which can operate in waters up to 10,000 feet deep, the same is defined byConstructed by Samsung Heavy IndustriesIt was completed and delivered in 2008.
Currently, Seadrill has been working on charter contracts for its drilling fleet.
