In winter, a cup of fragrant grapefruit tea not only warms the body and heart, but also has the effect of coughing and reducing phlegm. In Yuhang Jingshan, the villagers are ingenious, the Jingshan tea with a history of thousands of years is combined with pomelo, nine steamed and nine dry, which lasted 180 days, and the ancient method makes pomelo tea with unique local characteristics, which is widely praised by tourists.
Early in the morning, villager Meng Jian'e was busy at home, mixing Jingshan black tea and pomelo meat in proportion, fermenting for about two hours, and then filling the "stuffing" into the washed and hollowed out pomelo, and tying it with thick wire, so that the black tea can fully absorb the fragrance of pomelo peel while retaining its sweetness. After simmering slowly for 10 minutes, put it in a carbon fire cage, slowly bake it to remove the water at a low temperature, turn it over one by one every two hours, and after five or six days, the bright yellow color of the grapefruit will gradually fade and turn into an orange dumpling color, and then take it out and put it in the courtyard to receive the baptism of sunlight. This process needs to be repeated 8 more times, a total of nine steaming and nine drying, which lasted nearly 180 days.
To make yuzu tea, we need yuzu that is not big or small, and generally you can get 5 pomelos out of 10 pomelos that can be used to make yuzu tea. Three people can make about 50 blanks a day. Meng Jian'e, a villager of Lujing Village, Jingshan Town, Yuhang District, said.
The finished yuzu tea is all black and has a hard shell, exuding a chilling pomelo fragrance and delicate tea aroma. Knock it into small pieces, put it in water, simmer it around the stove, pour it into a cup and savor it, the tea soup is full of the slight acidity of the grapefruit peel and the richness of the black tea. Such a rich and unique taste has captured the taste buds of tourists, and has also had the effect of promoting lung qi, relieving cough and reducing phlegm, and has been widely praised.
I didn't expect that the grapefruit and the tea were fused together, and there would be some jujube fragrance in the aftermath, which made me very amazing. I still prefer yuzu tea. Tourist Wang Lijuan said.
Jingshan tea is a famous historical and cultural tea in Zhejiang, which began in the Tang Dynasty and flourished in the Song Dynasty, and has a history of more than 1,200 years. Many villagers in Jingshan Town are planted with grapefruit trees around their homes, and the villagers try to integrate them with Jingshan tea to make a unique pomelo tea, which will promote the diversification of Jingshan tea products and polish the "golden leaves" of rural revitalization.
We did more than 1,000 last year, and now there are basically only five or six left, and this year we expect to do maybe 2,000. After the innovation of tea and grapefruit, its taste will be different, and the effect will be different. We use the form of brewed tea in the Tang Dynasty, hoping that our Jingshan grapefruit tea can go further. Zhang Hongyan, the manager of Wufeng Mountain in Yuhangjing Mountain, said.
