In July this year, nearly 1,000 crape myrtles bloomed in the crape myrtle ecological park, attracting many citizens and tourists to watch. People stroll along the banks of the flowing river, and are in the sea of pink and delicate crape myrtle flowers, which has a unique artistic conception.
Weitang Town, which has a water network, has many similar "broken heads". In the vicinity of the crape myrtle ecological park, the Beixuejing River, Zhujiaxiang River, Tuanjie River, Miaoqian River, Tomb Bang and Chajiabang River gather here. In the past, most of these rivers had problems such as insufficient hydrodynamics, more external pollution, degradation of the water ecological environment, unstable water quality, and illegal release.
Now, through the construction of a living water pumping station, pushing flow and increasing oxygen, source control and sewage interception, aquatic vegetation restoration and other measures, the waters around the crape myrtle ecological park have been renovated. The originally unobstructed river flows freely, and you can also see aquatic animals and plants such as small fish, snails, reeds, and cannas. According to the relevant staff of Weitang Town, the water quality of Beixuejing River and Zhujiaxiang River has been improved from the original surface water class V to class III, and it is expected to continue to improve and stabilize at the standard of class II water in the later stage.
