Fast Technology reported on December 27 that the electric car, known as "never natural", is coming.
Today, JAC Yttrium officially rolled off the assembly line for the world's first sodium battery production car, and mass delivery of the new car will start in January 2024.
It is reported that the sodium-ion pure electric production vehicle off the assembly line this time is equipped with the sodium-ion cylindrical battery cell of Zhongke Haina**, and adopts JAC yttrium as the unique honeycomb battery structure, which has the safety feature of never spontaneously combustion.
The new car is positioned as a micro electric vehicle and is currently priced at 5990,000.
In February this year, JAC Yttrium debuted the industry's first sodium-ion battery test vehicle, and exhibited its first model, the Yttrium-3 sodium-electric version, at the Shanghai Auto Show in April.
The roll-off of the sodium battery production line marks the first industrialization of sodium-ion batteries in the global automotive industry, and also demonstrates JAC's industry-leading position in the field of power battery R&D and industrialization.
The reason why sodium-ion batteries have attracted much attention is because of their low cost, stable system energy, more low temperature resistance, and good charge and discharge rate performance, which can meet the energy density requirements of two-wheeled electric vehicles, power tools, energy storage, and A00 electric vehicles, and give full play to the excellent safety characteristics of sodium-ion batteries.
However, it should be pointed out that at present, lithium carbonate ** has been declining, originally 600,000 per ton, and now it can be bought for 80,000 yuan, which has caused a lot of pressure on the production and promotion of sodium-ion batteries.
