Innovative, he is a doer of corrosion control

Anti-corrosion is to protect metal and other items that are easy to corrode by taking various means such as physical anti-corrosion, chemical anti-corrosion, and electrochemical anti-corrosion, so as to achieve the purpose of prolonging their service life. Anti-corrosion is closely related to human production and life. Since the beginning of human beings, there has been a struggle against embalming. Ren Zhenduo, Secretary of the General Party Branch of the China Corrosion Control Technology Association and Resident Leader of the International (ISO TC156 SC1) China Expert Group, said that corrosion is an independent discipline and a special and great project.

The anti-corrosion industry is unfamiliar to many people, but for Li Xianxiu, it is a "key step" to change his fate. Li Xianxiu was born in the Yellow River Beach, since he was a child living in poverty, self-improvement after he graduated from middle school, he went out with the villagers to engage in anti-corrosion, he conscientiously studied Xi, studied technology, learned Xi construction management, and soon grew into an expert in engineering technology. He began to get involved in the anti-corrosion industry at the age of 16, and at the age of 18, he had his own anti-corrosion construction site. In his 40-year career in anti-corrosion engineering, he has overcome many problems and achieved a series of innovative results. In 1987, in Liaoning Lingyuan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., the anti-corrosion of 50,000 vertical wet gas cabinets was carried out without stopping production, and the outer wall of the gas cabinet was covered with closed sandblasting and rust removal brushing and anti-corrosion, so that the residential areas could live normally without gas and no pollution around, which was commended by the Liaoning Provincial Science and Technology Commission. In 2005, Shandong Provincial Road and Bridge Corporation signed a steel structure bridge handover pad anti-corrosion with the United States, which was originally cold galvanized anti-corrosion, but the service life was short, and Li Xianxiu adopted the metal thermal spraying process and the spraying corrosion-resistant alloy process. It has been proved by experts that the service life is as long as 25-35 years, which has been praised by users. So far, the anti-corrosion of some bridge joints in the United States is still contracted by Sihai Company and Shandong Road and Bridge Company.

In recent years, Li Xianxiu has led Sihai Company to vigorously carry out technological innovation, and participated in the formulation of many national and international standards, such as China's industrial equipment pipeline anti-corrosion technical standards, China's industrial equipment pipeline insulation and insulation technical standards, China's prefabricated building steel structure anti-corrosion technical standards and steel structure fire protection technical standards. At the same time, it has obtained 7 national patents such as paint automatic color sprayer, paint tinting clamp cylinder equipment, paint mixing and blending machine.

Immersed in his studies, he is a researcher of corrosive culture

Anti-embalming changed the fate of Li Xianxiu and some people in the beach, so that Li Xianxiu was also full of feelings for anti-embalming. Unlike some builders, Li Xianxiu is a person with a heart, and in the anti-corrosion construction all over the country, he concentrates on collecting relevant anti-corrosion equipment and information everywhere he goes. He also conscientiously studied the anti-corrosion historical materials and put forward many unique insights. For example, it was found that Changyuan anti-corrosion originated in the 50s of the last century, which advanced the history of Changyuan anti-corrosion by 20 years. This discovery was highly praised and recognized by the leaders and experts at the International Anti-corrosion Forum in October 2019, which was attended by more than 20 countries, which shook the anti-corrosion academic community and made Changyuan's status as the anti-corrosion capital of China more unshakable.

He also has in-depth research on the history of anti-corrosion in China and the world. He believes that China is the first country in the world to be proficient in lacquer, and lacquer culture has a long history. As early as 8,000 years ago, the ancestors of the cross-lake bridge had already understood the performance of lacquer and began to use it, and experts verified that the mulberry bows, canoes and pottery shards found at the site of the cross-lake bridge (now Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province) all contained natural lacquer.

During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, Yu Boya made pianos from materials in Chu in the south, found a kind of lacquer tree in the woods, cut off the slime juice in the bark for boiling, and smeared it on the piano, and found that it was not only beautiful in appearance, but also more beautiful in timbre. Later, Yu Boya became famous all over the world through this unique piano and became a generation of famous teachers. Later generations were inspired to experiment with painting on objects and utensils, which was the beginning of lacquerware. Yu Boya was also called Qizu by later generations.

Li Xianxiu firmly believes that the anti-corrosion technology of the ancient Chinese has always been ahead of the world, and the ancestors used the earliest copper mirror, and the craftsmen's careful polishing not only makes the copper mirror shine on people, but also adopts the polishing anti-corrosion method. Because a smooth plane is more difficult to adsorb water vapor from the air than a rough plane.

Li Xianxiu believes that according to the research of archaeologists, as early as 4,500 years ago, human beings have mastered the anti-corrosion technology of covering lime three edible soil, soil asphalt, and stone race. In 1907, foreign archaeologist Borehardt discovered the oldest metal pipe in the world while inspecting the Golden Pagoda in Egypt. It is wrapped in a rather thick layer of lime triple soil. In 1936, archaeologists discovered a copper source pot near Khviut Rabuch, the capital of Iraq, with only a dull copper core on its inner wall and no serious rust, only rusty iron powder around it. It is believed that this flask was produced before 300 BC. The reason why the steel core of this flask has survived is probably that iron protected the copper. It is quite similar to the modern so-called sacrificial anode protection. Li Xianxiu's research on anti-corrosion culture has contributed to the inheritance and promotion of anti-corrosion culture.

Staying true to his original intention, he is the founder of the museum

With the increasing number of collections and materials, and the deeper and deeper study of embalming, Li Xianxiu found that there has never been a real embalming history museum in the world, and the idea of building a professional museum that shows the history and culture of embalming in a panoramic way is getting stronger and stronger. With the support of local leaders and industry leaders, after several years of construction, a magnificent Chinese antiseptic history museum has risen from the ground. The shape is like an antique ancient tripod, full of momentum and majestic atmosphere.

When you walk into the museum, you will enter the world of embalming culture. The museum displays more than 3,000 pieces of anti-corrosion appliances and documents from wood, iron, military and civil construction tools, from ancient times to first-class painting materials, including special tools for lacquer-making and varnishing in the late Qing Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty, special tools for anti-corrosion workers in the early Qing Dynasty, special lighting hand-cranked generators for the military at the end of the Qing Dynasty, tools used in the early construction of the first project, and anti-corrosion technical data from ancient times to the present, etc., which fill the gap in the history and culture of anti-corrosion in the world. Every collection, every volume, every picture, narrates the past and glory, achievements and shortcomings of corrosion control, records the pace of human struggle against corrosion, and witnesses the footprints of the development and progress of corrosion control technology.

On November 22, 2023, the 9th China International Corrosion Control Conference, hosted by the China Corrosion Control Technology Association, was held in Beijing. The conference read out the commendation decision for Li Xianxiu, gave a total of four commendations to Li Xianxiu and Sihai Group, and fully affirmed Li Xianxiu's contribution to the publicity and promotion of China's anti-corrosion culture. The conference adopted a proposal on the establishment of an international corrosion museum, and decided to establish an international corrosion museum on the basis of the China Anti-corrosion History Museum. In the future, the museum will adhere to the public welfare and openness, and become a platform for the dissemination of anti-corrosion culture, a base for the research and development of anti-corrosion technology, and a position for the cultivation of anti-corrosion talents.

It is worth mentioning that Li Xianxiu also loves poetry and literary creation, and he insists on one poem a day, one word a day, day after day. In recent years, he has published a collection of poems "The Voice of the Yellow River", "Three Hundred Songs on the Heaven and Earth", "A Thousand Poems of the Sea", "A Thousand Poems of the Sea", "Interesting Stories of the Tide of the Sea", and "A Brush to the World" and "A Star of China's Anti-corrosion" in the "Dahe Daily". His works are concise and poetic, and what lingers between the lines is his deep affection for the party, his love for the motherland, and his love for antiseptic culture.
