Mr. Ye Xin's "Debt of Sin" let the world know the ruthlessness or helplessness of men and women in Shanghai. From this and that, I knew that I had been an educated youth in Banna, and I was tortured countless times to ask if I had any debts. Swear to God, regardless of active or passive factors, it seems that there have been "evil feelings", but evil debts are never dared to have. However, there was a home of mine there, although it was not a home for a man or a woman.
He went to Yunnan in December 1968 and returned to the city in March 1979. During this period, except for the more than 3 years spent in Kunming in the early years, 7 years were spent in Banna, in Olive Dam, and on the farm. Most of that time was spent at the farm hospital.
At that time, most of the educated youth were young, and junior high school students were average.
Ten. Six or seven years old, and the oldest high school student is only ten years old. In addition to the old workers in the farm hospital, even the old intellectuals of Kunming and Sichuan who came to the farm before the Cultural Revolution (in fact, they were from Chongqing, and Chongqing was still under the jurisdiction of Sichuan at that time), few of them got married and started a family, let alone us Shanghai intellectuals, and later the new Shanghai, new Kunming, and small Sichuan. So, in the hospital, a group of us single men and women formed a special family, a family that ate together.
The prototype of our family can be traced back to 1969.
In all fairness, compared with the educated youth of the company, I did not suffer much in my intellectual youth era. After coming to the farm for a month, he participated in the farm hospital hygienist training course, and stayed in the hospital after the three-month Xi, managing the medicine store. At that time, Jinghong was not open to traffic to Olive Dam, so it was necessary to often take a boat to Jinghong Pharmaceutical Company to purchase medicines. More than a year later, the farm was restructured into the Construction Corps, and in 1971, he was sent to Yunnan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine as a worker, peasant and soldier cadet. Three years later, I had the opportunity to stay in school, but I chose to come back, still on the farm, in the hospital, as a doctor, until I returned to the city.
Hospital work, although less labor-intensive, is not without its dangers. Due to the lack of medical treatment, the hospital asked me to go to Banna State Hospital to learn Xi preparations. Once used chloroform to extract the active ingredient of neem bark as an injection, I didn't want to connect the rubber tube to age and stick, the pressure in the flask increased suddenly**, I bowed my head to dodge, and the hot chloroform was splashed on my back, and after a while, a large blister appeared, and I could only sleep on my stomach for more than a week. Brother Decong suffered the most, went up the mountain to cut bamboo, and when others pulled the bamboo, a withered bamboo fell from the sky, just buckled on the left eye, and the blood was dripping. Fortunately, the eyeball was not damaged, but the tear duct was broken, and an artificial tear duct was installed back in Shanghai. Another time I used a sterilizer to autoclave a large infusion solution, and the infusion bottle was cold after the lid was lifted**, leaving a two-inch-long scar on the chin from a glass shard. That time, Chen Yingming, a well-known youth in Chongqing, was also burned on his arm, and he still has a scar bigger than a silver dollar. That's for later.
After graduating from the training course for hygienists and staying in the hospital, he and Wang Jinhua, an educated youth from Shanghai, formed a family with Ding Ene Meng and Hu Shidong, who graduated from Chengde Medical College, and ate together. In 1974, Butene Meng and Hu Shidong left Banna successively, and since then, the partner family has been reorganized many times, and there are ** people at most.
The reason why we ate together was because the food in the canteen at that time was extremely simple, the rice was *** and the variety of dishes was very small. The hospital has its own vegetable patch, but the canteen generally only stir-fries one dish, and one spoonful per person when cooking. This kind of life can be eaten twice a day, two days a day, and it will be impossible to hold on for a long time. Single men and women huddle together, just like having a family to live, some people come up with ideas, some people contribute strength, and they will always think of ways to improve their lives.
At that time, the income of the farmers was not much, about twenty or thirty yuan per month, and each partner paid five yuan per month, which was kept and kept by a special person. Rush to the street on Sunday, usually see it, like it, buy it back, and report the account. Of course, the number of family members will also change. As time goes by, there are older people, older ones, mature early, fall in love, want to quit the door of self-reliance, yes, there are new people who come to work in the hospital, want to join, can, in short, in and out completely free.
Since it is home, it must be like home. At that time, the buildings of the hospital were all bungalows, with adobe as walls and green tiles as roofs, and two people in one room, unlike many new teams in the company who lived in thatched bamboo row houses, that is, houses with thatched roofs and bamboo fences on the walls. In addition to living, there must be a place to open a small stove, so every family has a small room at the back door of the house. It is said that it is a small man's house, but in fact, some of them are larger than the housing area allocated by the hospital, in addition to having a stove, it also doubles as a restaurant. Do not need to report the land grant, according to their own needs, the size of the construction at will.
The young man's house is a mortise and tenon structure, and it is also a bamboo fence for the wall and thatch for the roof. This kind of tenon structure of the young man's house is resistant to shaking and can be prevented. Although Banna has not had major earthquakes, small earthquakes are still frequent. Once, when I was seeing a doctor in an outpatient clinic, the house suddenly shook and I was so frightened that I jumped out of the window. Therefore, when the first time, the young man's room can be used as a shed.
Following the example of the old workers, our family also has such a young man's room. The timber was given by the company's educated youth friends, and the company was close to the mountains, so it was convenient to engage in timber.
Nowadays, ecological protection is emphasized, and the cutting down of mountain forests is prohibited, and in the era of educated youth, there was no taboo to cut down trees in the mountains. One year, during the Chinese New Year holiday, a few of us male intellectuals went to the Liufen field on the other side of the Lancang River to cut wood and do our private lives. The trees were taken care of by the Shanghai educated youth of the company for a long time, and the tools for logging were also prepared by them.
Xishuangbanna is located in the southern edge of the Tropic of Cancer in the northern tropics, tropical monsoon climate, warm all year round, sunny, humid and rainy, is the only oasis in the desert belt of the Tropic of Cancer on the earth, and is also the most intact, typical and largest area of China's tropical rainforest ecosystem, known as a natural wonder of the earth. The mountains are rich in vegetation and towering trees.
The tree to be cut down seems to be a red toon, and the thickest part is about seventy or eighty centimeters in diameter. They found a large tree in the deep mountains where there was no road, cut it down from the roots with an axe, and cut it with a saw, each section about 2 meters long. The steep slope of the mountain, about 40 degrees, is overgrown with weeds and trees, and it is impossible to lift the broken timber out by manpower. But there is no problem, the Shanghai educated youth of the company have already helped call the tractor, Dongfanghong 70 crawler tractor. The broken timber is tied with a wire rope, dragged to the road by a tractor, and transported to the Lancang River by a tractor, and then pulled back to the hospital.
Our family has people from Shanghai, Chongqing, Kunming, doctors, laboratory tests, X-rays, and so on.
The most abundant expression of family advantages is occupational complementarity. Wang Jinhua and Chen Yingming are engaged in radiation, they have to eat X-rays, and they have nutritious meat every month. The De Chung brothers worked in laboratory testing and were equipped with refrigerators, one of which was often used to refrigerate fish and meat. The doctor has a wide range of contacts, and it is convenient for the doctor to go to the local store to copy the bulk liquor and let the farm truck driver bring the bottle of wine from outside.
During the Cultural Revolution, farms were cut off by capitalism, and private pigs were not allowed to be raised, and chickens were not banned. It is impossible to run a chicken farm, and there is no problem with raising a few eggs to eat meat. For this reason, our family has also raised a few of them. It is common for educated youth friends from the field and company to come to the hospital, stay for dinner, go to the public's vegetable field to pull a few vegetables, catch a chicken of their own, kill the stir-fried vegetables and drink wine, and get drunk before resting.
The farm materials are scarce, especially gluttony, and only during the New Year and festivals do pigs and cattle be slaughtered and meat to eat. The human mouth is also tricky, if there is no meat to eat, I want to eat meat, and if I have meat, I want to eat it. Therefore, one spoonful per person, after returning from the basin, first pick the thin one to eat, then pick the half fat and half thin one to eat, and after two days only the fat remains, and then eat again. Every time I come back from a family visit, I have a large bag of small packets, such as roll noodles, fried flour, malt cream, nougat, etc., and sausages and bacon are indispensable, regardless of each other, everyone shares. The climate of Banna is divided into dry season and rainy season, and it rains every day in the rainy season, and the sausages and bacon hanging in the boy's room have green hair, and they are still reluctant to throw it away, and it is still a delicacy after peeling and shaving.
This kind of family was completely separated in 1979 when the educated youth returned to the city to go their separate ways, but the friendship still exists and is still close to this day. In the era of educated youth, there were many political movements, and it was inevitable to say things against their hearts, while interpersonal relations were relatively simple. At least in our family, everyone treats people very sincerely, there is no such situation of mutual beware or even deceit, and the friendship is naturally sincere, can last for a long time, and has continued to this day.
