In ordinary times, I like to use "Comrade XX" to refer to the people around him, which is both cordial and in line with the principle of democracy and equality. However, there are three people who are special and have always affectionately called them "bosses" as a sign of respect for them. These three "CEOs" have prominent identities, namely Mr. Zhu, Mr. Peng and Mr. He.
As one of the earliest members of the Communist Party of China, Mr. Zhu's status is self-evident. He was the supreme commander of the People's Armed Forces, leading the Red Army in the fight against the enemy and consolidating the victory of the revolution. During the Anti-Japanese War, he led the New Fourth Army and the Eighth Route Army to fight against the Japanese puppet army, laying a solid foundation for the independence of the Chinese nation. During the Liberation War, Mr. Zhu participated in major strategic decisions and helped liberate the whole country. Although he was later affected by the political turmoil, Mr. Zhu gradually retired, but he still enjoyed high prestige. However, in 1976, he died of illness, ending a brilliant life.
Although Mr. Peng joined the party a little later than Mr. Zhu, he also made outstanding achievements in the revolutionary cause. He showed excellent command skills in various battles, especially during the War of Liberation, when he led Nishino to a series of victories that led to the collapse of the Kuomintang army. During the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, in the face of a strong coalition, Mr. Peng led the volunteer army to defeat the opponent repeatedly. Although Mr. Peng was also troubled by political turmoil, he finally passed away in 1974.
Mr. He participated in the revolution in his early years and became the commander-in-chief of the rebel army during the first uprising in Nanchang, opening a new chapter in the red revolution. He joined forces with other generals to open up revolutionary base areas and made outstanding contributions to the expansion of communist influence. Mr. He was also affected by turmoil behind him, and finally died of illness in 1969.
These three "bosses" have left a deep footprint in the course of the Chinese revolution, however, they have been implicated in the political turmoil, some have retired, and some have suffered injustice. Their life deeds are an eternal glory in the history of the Chinese revolution.
