Translation] Orchids are covered with green leaves in spring, and laurels are bright and clean in autumn. This thriving business naturally coincides with the festive season. Who would have thought that the hermits of the mountains and forests would appreciate love for no reason, and they would admire the grace when they smelled the fragrance. The fragrance of plants and trees originally came from nature, why should the beauty be admired to show the fragrance.
Appreciation] This poem was written by Zhang Jiuling after being slandered as the governor of Jingzhou, using the traditional method of comparing Xing, from Langui, expressing the poet's self-appreciation, not admiring fame and fortune of integrity and arrogance.
