The situation in the South China Sea has always been a matter of great concern. Recently, in a dialogue with political leaders from Singapore and Malaysia, Wang Yi once again mentioned the South China Sea issue and called on all countries to remain vigilant about stability in the South China Sea. However, a recent report released by a US think tank shows that Vietnam's land reclamation in the Spratly Islands is accelerating, adding about 330 acres of land in the past year alone. The move has raised concerns in the international community because it could change the status quo in the South China Sea. In addition to Vietnam, the Philippines has also frequently provoked China's sovereignty, and recently there has been a "flight around" incident with a Chinese aircraft. These actions have raised alarming factors in the South China Sea.

First, let's focus on Vietnam's land reclamation in the South China Sea. According to a report by a U.S. think tank, Vietnam has accelerated land reclamation projects and added a large amount of land in the past year, apparently to strengthen its outposts in the South China Sea and facilitate the subsequent struggle for sovereignty in the South China Sea. While Vietnam's reclamation is far from a worthwhile military bridgehead at the moment, if it continues at such a rapid pace, Vietnam's actions could effectively change the status quo in the South China Sea. This situation requires the utmost attention of the international community.

Second, the Philippines' provocative actions have also brought uncertainty to the situation in the South China Sea. Since the beginning of this year, the Philippines has repeatedly attacked China's territorial waters in the waters off Scarborough Shoal and Ren'ai Jiao. Recently, the Philippines has paid attention to the news that Chinese fighter jets are "circling" Philippine military aircraft, and the Philippine Army Commander-in-Chief said that the Philippines has every right to conduct joint patrols with allies, suggesting that the Philippines will continue to pull foreign countries to patrol the South China Sea. Such an act is bound to exacerbate tensions in the South China Sea and pose a threat to regional peace and stability.

In the face of these circumstances, the international community needs to pay close attention to the changes in the South China Sea, urge relevant countries to respond calmly, and jointly maintain peace and stability in the South China Sea. At the same time, all parties should abide by international law, resolve differences through dialogue and negotiation, and jointly move the South China Sea issue towards a peaceful settlement. Peace and stability in the South China Sea are in the common interests of neighboring countries and the international community, and we hope that all parties concerned will properly handle the South China Sea issue in a responsible manner and jointly maintain regional peace and tranquility. The squadron responded to the recent hype of the PLA fighter jet flying around in the Philippines, emphasizing that it should maintain a high degree of vigilance and resolutely defend national sovereignty, security and maritime rights and interests.

It is not advisable for the Philippines to enlist foreign forces to stir up trouble in the South China Sea and undermine regional peace and stability. The People's Liberation Army (PLA) has unleashed a firm determination to safeguard China's sovereignty and integrity, and the Philippines should think twice before it triggers more serious consequences.
