On January 9, CES 2024, the annual event of the global consumer electronics industry, will officially open, and Lenovo Group has unveiled more than 40 new products and solutions based on artificial intelligence in one go, from Yoga, ThinkBook, ThinkPad, ThinkCentre to Legion series.
Among them, more than 10 AI PCs are undoubtedly the focus of CES 2024, and Lenovo Group's vision is "AI for All, let artificial intelligence benefit everyone", and the release of many AI PCs has undoubtedly accelerated the realization of this vision.
In 2023, the explosion of generative artificial intelligence represented by large models has attracted global attention, and AI PCs, which are regarded as the first terminal for the inclusion of personal large models, are also highly anticipated.
At CES 2024, Lenovo Group showcased more than 10 AI PCs, including the creation-focused Yoga Pro 9i, the world's first ThinkBook Plus Gen 5 Hybrid that seamlessly switches between laptop and tablet modes, the world's first business AI PC ThinkPad X1 Carbon AI, and the new generation of ultra-compact ThinkCentre Neo Ultra.

By combining large models, these AI PCs can achieve personalized services and instant and reliable service responses in general scenarios, while ensuring data and privacy security, and this AI PC can also become a personal AI assistant that "understands users best".
Specifically, the two flagship products, Yoga Pro 9i and Yoga 9i, are equipped with Intel Core Ultra processors and Lenovo AI chips, and the whole series is equipped with Yoga Creator Zone generative AI software, which can convert text-based descriptions or sketches into images without entering any complex prompts, ** or settings. The user only needs to type in whatever they want, and the system can quickly generate the corresponding visual image. Both models are equipped with the Copilot button.

In October 2023, Lenovo showcased a personal AI assistant solution for AI PCs that enables end-user AI interaction via keyboard and natural language through personalized AI solutions. In November 2023, Yang Yuanqing, Chairman and CEO of Lenovo Group, for the first time, fully defined the five core characteristics of AI PCs, namely, the ability to run compressed and performance-optimized personal large models, stronger computing power and larger storage, the ability to achieve smoother natural language interactions, and more reliable security and privacy protection.
Amu, vice president of Lenovo Group and chief strategy officer of China, believes that with the continuous implementation of AI PC, the ecology of the PC industry will be adjusted. In the traditional PC ecosystem, users interact with applications, with general-purpose computing CPUs and graphics processing GPUs as the mainstay, and the operating system controls several parties. In the era of AI PCs, users are more likely to interact with AI agents, large models, and AI-native applications, and hybrid computing power will become an indispensable underlying support. AI PC is a disruptive hybrid of terminal, edge computing, and cloud technology, which not only redefines productivity, but also accelerates the self-iteration of the PC industry ecosystem.
As a result, Lenovo's role is also changing, becoming a deliverer of chips, models and operating systems, as well as a series of innovative technologies, as well as a core hub for communication between users and the entire industry, from a terminal manufacturer to an ecological organizer.
The rise of AI PCs is profoundly affecting the development trajectory of the entire PC industry and injecting new growth momentum into the PC industry. Traditional PCs are no longer able to meet the growing demand for intelligence, but AI PCs provide users with more efficient and convenient content creation and intelligent experience with powerful computing power, advanced AI technology, and innovative interaction methods.
Driven by AI PCs, the application scenarios of PCs will be further expanded, driving the market scale into a new round of growth. IDC believes that in the personal consumption market, AI PCs will shorten the replacement cycle of users and accelerate the arrival of the replacement wave. Within two years, the proportion of users who will replace their PCs will double to 20% or more.
In the field of personal computing, AI PCs also represent a profound industry change. The rapid development of generative artificial intelligence and large language models has fundamentally changed the way individuals interact with intelligent terminals such as computers. From input instructions to clicking icons to natural language interactions, AI PCs become digital extensions and digital mirrors for every user. At the same time, on-device AI is driving innovation in a wider range of personal computing devices, with AI tablets, AI workstations, and peripherals and peripherals for these devices also coming into being, extending the AI PC family lineup.
In the new wave of AI PCs, Lenovo Group is mainly focused on driving the revolution of personal computing. It is understood that starting from 2024, Lenovo Group will successively launch AI PCs with complete core features. In addition, in the future, Lenovo Group will continue to increase investment in innovation and R&D, and give full play to the advantages of the panoramic AI roadmap from "pocket to cloud", including AI-oriented, AI-optimized, AI-enabled terminals, infrastructure and solution services.
As Yang Yuanqing said: "Your future artificial intelligence personal computer (i.e., AI PC) can not only serve as the entrance to the public model, but also run a personalized private model independently, only it can master your most comprehensive personal data and information, and can strictly guard your secrets." Only you can wake it up, use it, and only know you best, far better than any public model. ”
