Newest Programmes Bachelor of Engineering (Environmental Science and Engineering) and Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance) Dual Degree Programmes
CityU has launched a new dual degree programme in the 2024 academic year: Bachelor of Engineering (Environmental Science and Engineering) and Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance) (JS1052). Partnered by the School of Energy and Environment with the Department of Economics and Finance, the five-year programme has a first-year quota of 10 students and a minimum entry requirement of "33333". Through the programme, students will receive a rigorous and comprehensive education in environmental engineering and finance to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to meet the challenges of sustainable finance.
There are courses in the Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine
The Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine programme offered by CityU is a comprehensive one. The programme is accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and the Australasian Veterinary Boards Council. The programme takes 6 years and will allow qualified graduates to practise not only in Hong Kong, but also in the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and any other country that recognises these two institutions without the need to pass any professional examinations. The Department of Veterinary Medicine at CityU will admit 30 students in 2024, and according to JUPAS data, the department will have 112 JUPAS Band A applicants in 2023, and 21 will be admitted, with an average of 53 people compete for a place.
Up-to-date admission requirements
Students who apply for CityU through JUPAS from 2024 onwards are required to meet the minimum requirement of "332A33", but some subjects will have higher requirements for specific subjects, such as "5" in English and "4" or "3" in Mathematics for many law-related subjects.
Score conversion mechanism
In terms of calculating the score, if the candidate achieves 5** and 5*, he or she will gain a greater advantage in calculating the score, because the corresponding score is higher, in which the score of 5** is 7 points, 5* is 6 points, level 5 is 5 points, level 4 is 4 points, level 3 is 3 points, and so on.
