Arsenal boast a long list of former players at other clubs, some of whom are currently living a good life after leaving the Emirates Stadium. With Mikel Arteta leading his side to the Premier League title, several of their former players are also enjoying a great season. We've identified five former Arsenal stars who are still doing well after leaving the club.
Granit Xhaka
Xhaka managed to rebuild his tarnished reputation with fans after delivering a number of outstanding performances for Arsenal last season, but his departure is seen as necessary for Mikel Arteta's side. The Swiss international signed for Bayer Leverkusen and enjoyed a good start in Germany. Bayer Leverkusen are currently top of the Bundesliga and have not lost a single game in any competition. Xhaka has made 23 appearances so far.
Emiliano MartÃnez
After arriving at Arsenal in 2010 and on loan for a number of years, Martin eventually made his debut for the Gunners in the second half of the 2010s, with the highlight being his role in the Gunners' 2020 FA Cup victory. The 31-year-old is one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League's title-chasing Aston Villa squad and played a major role in the success of last year's World Cup in Argentina.
Bernd Leno
Leno made over 100 appearances for Arsenal during his four years at Arsenal. Prior to Aaron Ramsdale's arrival in the 2021-22 season, the German goalkeeper had been the recognised number one goalkeeper. He realised his chances in the first team were limited under Mikel Arteta, so he moved to Fulham in 2022. Since leaving the Emirates Stadium, his progress has improved by leaps and bounds.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
After Chelsea's defeat, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a number of late goals after his move to Marseille in the summer. Despite a slow start to his career in France, the striker has scored 12 goals in 24 appearances for his new club, and he also has seven assists.
Yunus Moussa
Arsenal will regret letting Moussa go so easily in 2019. The USA international spent three seasons in regular season in La Liga after being drafted by Valencia and is currently enjoying his time at AC Milan. Moussa has become the darling of head coach Stefano Pioli and is worth tens of millions of dollars in the current market.
