On December 11, the draw ceremony and annual award ceremony for the BWF World Tour Finals were held. As the last major event of the year, this year's Grand Final will be held in Hangzhou from December 13th to 17th.
The first draw was the mixed doubles group, with the two national pairs seeded No. 1 and No. 2 respectively, as follows: Group A Feng Yanzhe Huang Dongping, Watanabe Yuda Higashino Arisa, Chen Tangjie Du Yiwei, Dechabo Sasire, Group B Zheng Siwei Huang Yaqiong, Seo Seung Jae Choi Yoo Hyun, Kim Won-ho Zheng Na-eun, Deng Junwen Xie Yingxue.
In Women's Doubles, the Chinese pair of Chen Qingchen, Jia Yifan and Liu Shengshu and Tan Ning were all drawn to Group A, along with Mayu Matsumoto, Wakana Nagahara and Rahayusitti. The four pairs in Group B are Baek Ha Na, Lee So Hee, Nami Matsuyama, Chiyo Shida, Kititarakul Pa Soya, Kim So-young, and Kong Hee Yong.
The Men's Doubles pair of China are also in a group of Leung Wai Hang, Wang Chang and Liu Yuchen and Ou Xuanyi in Group A, along with Xie Dingfeng, Su Weiyi and Takuro Hoki and Yugo Kobayashi. The four pairs of players in Group B are Alfian Ardianto, Kang Min-hyuk, Seo Seung-jae, Astruprasmussen, and Fekrimrana.
In Women's Singles, the two Chinese players, Chen Yufei and Han Yue, are both in Group B, along with Ma Lin and Zhang Beiwen. Group A is led by Ahn Se Ying and Tai Tzu Ying, and the other two are Kim Ga-eun and Mariska.
In the men's singles, the two Chinese players, Shi Yuqi and Li Shifeng, are in Group A and Group B respectively. Shi Yuqi's opponents in the same group are Kodai Naraoka, Ginting and Axelsen, and Li Shifeng was drawn in the same group as Jonatan, Antonsen and Kunlavut.
