Zhang Xuefeng, who is not shocking and dies, is on the hot search again. Recently, when answering questions from netizens in the live broadcast room, Zhang Xuefeng said: All liberal arts are called service industries, and the service industry can be summed up as a "lick". After sparking heated discussions, on December 9, Zhang Xuefeng publicly apologized on his personal Weibo.
The reason why the saying "the service industry is all licking" has caused a large reaction on the Internet also proves that this is a bias from the side. From ancient times to the present, hundreds of millions of people in China and around the world have been engaged in this ancient profession, and the word "licking" to describe their work is indeed stigmatized.
From the perspective of the industry attributes of the service industry, is it really a "licking" business?"Licking" symbolizes an unequal relationship between two parties, one party is hypocritical and flattering to the other, and in some cases even means sacrificing human dignity for unlimited operations. The service industry has a wide range of extensions, including finance, law, accounting, education, medical care, transportation, ......It can be said that all aspects of life are integrated into "service". Service providers use their own knowledge reserves, professional ability, and humanistic care to provide relevant services for service users, and get the material remuneration and spiritual comfort they should receive, glorious and dignified, how can it become "licking"?
The service industry is "licking", which is obviously a wrong perception. Regrettably, however, some social phenomena consciously or unconsciously reflect this cognitive bias. For example, when a man in Hangzhou ordered takeout, he remarked, "Don't knock on the door, just shout that Dad's takeout has arrived", otherwise he will give a bad review. For another example, a man in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province pushed the waiter in a restaurant, and when he was asked to apologize, he insulted the waiter: "Why does the service industry want me to apologize." Other social news such as "the high-speed toll collector was scolded and cried by the driver, and the next second wiped away the tears and still served with a smile", all of which made people see the difficulty of service practitioners. However, what needs to be clarified logically is that "ordering a takeout is a father" and "going to a restaurant to eat is superior to others", these contemptible words and behaviors can only prove that some people's quality is low, and cannot show that the service industry itself is "licking".
According to Beijing**, data shows that the service sector has become the pillar industry of the global economy, accounting for 65% of global GDP, and 2 3 percent of employment in developing countries and 4 5 percent of employment in developed countries come from the service sector. The higher the level of economic development of a society, the more developed its service industry, whether from the value level of social development, or from the perspective of the spirit of individual struggle, the service industry and service practitioners should be respected.
Fundamentally speaking, thinking that the service industry is "licking" is a backward hierarchical concept at work. In this narrow and paranoid cognition, as long as you provide labor for others, you are inferior, you have no human dignity, and you are "licking". It has long been the consensus of the whole society that all workers are equal and that there is no distinction between high and low occupations, and the hands of Shi Chuanxiang, the first generation of model workers in New China, have taken out a lot of dung, but no one will feel that these hands are dirty and smelly. Creating wealth for society and creating a better life for oneself with one's own hands is a noble act that deserves to be celebrated. We want all workers to be respected, not to define their value by their profession.
