It has been preliminarily determined that the tunnel passes through a strong weathering zone, joint fissures develop, rock mass is broken, and groundwater is seeping or dripping. The tunnel construction disturbance will inevitably cause the relaxation effect of the upper stratum, and the expansion of the plastic zone of the rock and soil mass is connected with the new loess collapsible area, which cannot form the collapse arch effect, resulting in a sudden tunnel collapse and the upper collapsible new loess vertically penetrating to the road surface, forming a disaster event.
After the incident, the road and bridge project of China Railway Tunnel Bureau quickly organized all kinds of resources and fully cooperated with the local government to do a good job in emergency rescue, traffic recovery and incident investigation.
