Li Ning is a professional sports brand founded in 1990 by Li Ning, the "Prince of Gymnastics". Li Ning Company has perfect brand marketing, R&D, design, manufacturing, distribution and sales capabilities, and mainly operates Li Ning brand professional and casual sports shoes, clothing, equipment and accessories.
There are two main reasons why Li Ning is considered not to be a domestic product:
First of all, although the name and founder of the Li Ning brand are Chinese, its registered place is not in China, but in the Cayman Islands. The Cayman Islands is a well-known offshore financial center and "tax haven", and according to the local tax policy, there are only simple taxes such as import tax and industrial and commercial registration tax, so it attracts many companies to register here. At present, the proportion of Chinese holding is more than 50%, and Chinese capital has absolute control, so from this point of view, some people think that it is a domestic product. However, in a stricter sense, if a brand is not registered in China, then it cannot be considered completely domestic.
Second, most of Li-Ning's products are not produced in China, but have chosen to outsource production to other companies, including some well-known international manufacturers such as Nike and Adidas. This means that in terms of production, Li Ning's products are not entirely manufactured by Chinese production lines, so they cannot be regarded as purely domestic products.
In addition, although Li Ning is very popular in China, the quality and quality of its products are often questioned. This has also led some people to doubt the identity of their domestic products.
In general, from the perspective of brand registration and manufacturing, Li Ning cannot be regarded as a completely domestic product. However, considering its popularity in the Chinese market and the proportion of Chinese holdings, as well as the purchasing preferences of Chinese consumers, we can assume that Li Ning has the attributes of a domestic product to a certain extent.
