Find the right keywords
For the order and difficulty of the article, there is no difficulty rule for the 3 articles, so to read, you can first quickly browse the title, beginning and end paragraphs and titles of the article, mainly to understand the topic of the article and the type of question, and then start with the type of question you are best at.
Select the order of the article, before doing the question, it is also recommended to quickly browse the content of the article, focus on the first few lines of the title and the first paragraph, have a general understanding of the content of the article, if you encounter new words or are not very familiar with the topic, don't get stuck here, do the question directly, remember, it is difficult to ensure that every article is read and understood in the examination room, so we must strive to do it, the overall understanding + details and skills, the ultimate goal is to do it right and get points.
To do the question, you must first look at the question, find out the keywords, and find the corresponding part of the text with the keywords of the question. The words in the essay can be focused on: time, place, person's name, data (number), transition, ......In daily practice, you should also pay more attention to the key words of the article to cultivate reading sensitivity.
Understand the topic correctly
Generally speaking, the correct sentence can find synonyms (sentences) in the original text, and there will never be exactly the same words here, so the synonymous substitution words must be familiar.
Another point is that you must not make judgments based on your own general knowledge when doing questions like t ng , and all your choices are based on the article. Generally speaking, t is the original question that can exactly match the original text;f is that there is any contradiction between the original title and the original text;ng means that there is any point in the original question that is not reflected in the original text.
Some students may confuse f and ng, here to understand that f is clearly wrong, this error is well-documented in the text, but ng is not in the original text, or you need to speculate to get it.
When you first start reading, you will encounter a lot of situations, such as feeling that the article is too long and not adapting, such as 60 minutes can not complete all the reading, such as a set of questions after the correct rate is super low, these situations will more or less hit self-confidence and enthusiasm, pay attention, at this time, you need to correct your attitude, establish a psychological line of defense, and tell yourself that you may encounter all kinds of difficulties in the early stage, but as long as you stick to the right method and insist on practicing, you will see the light. First, control the time to do the questions.
Don't think about 3 articles in 1 hour, but divide them into 3 articles in 60 minutes, and set aside 20 minutes for each article to complete, break down the time as much as possible, and plan reasonably. Second, before doing the question, you must choose the order of the essay according to the question type
As mentioned earlier, there is not much difference in the difficulty of the three articles, so the basis for the order of our questions is the question type, and when you get the questions, first see which question types are more familiar and confident to you, then do these questions first. If you get stuck in the middle, leave it alone and give up immediately, because once you stop here, you will unknowingly waste a lot of time and directly affect the subsequent questions.
Third, reflection.
This is not only for IELTS reading, no matter what the test is, there needs to be a reflection on it. To do reflection, you can establish a template or **, record the time of each question, the topic of the article, the type of question, the correct rate, the error rate, the reason for the error, the common new words and the long and difficult sentences that affect the understanding of the question (long and difficult sentence analysis needs to be done here), and every time you have to file like a doctor writing a medical record, so that after many exercises, you will see your problems very clearly, and you will be more able to prescribe the right medicine.
